They 'object' to the existence of mixed race children? What vile creatures they are. It makes me feel sick wondering how real people, humans could become filled with such hatred.

bodycolder · 21/10/2009 12:25

jesus its hopeless

daftpunk · 21/10/2009 12:27

miflaw;

they are a legal political party...it is not against the law to vote for them.

abra1d · 21/10/2009 12:27

'Hmm, not sure that that's exactly true is it?'

I have read many references to perceptions of over-crowding in cities in the thirties. Of course, what we consider over-crowding may be very different from what they considered to be over-crowding.
But being able to send disaffected young working class white men to Canada or New Zealand on assisted places would act as a pressure valve.

Nobody is denying that mass immigration to Britain in the 50s and 60s enabled services like transport and health, etc, to function.

But doesn't anyone else remember the National Front? OR are you all too young? They actually seemed to be more vicious than the BNP.

daftpunk · 21/10/2009 12:28

i don't care who you vote for...that's up to you...

cherryblossoms · 21/10/2009 12:32

Daftpunk - Don't be betrayed by the fact that they have two MEPs - only a small number of people voted for them.

Voting, actually voting, for them puts you well beyond the sphere of the normal. Well beyond "right-wing".

And yes, I know that people will say that they "give voice" to feelings of disaffection and alienation amongst various sectors of the population and that parties need to take account of this alienation.

But voting, actually voting, for a party because of some vague feeling of disaffection is crazy. It's OK to buy a lipstick because you misidentify a vague feeling and misdirect that into buying a cosmetic. Voting for a party is a different thing. They have a whole manifesto. Which is nasty, and serious and goes way, way beyond "right wing".

Imo.

ladylush · 21/10/2009 12:34

daftpunk - since you haven't answered my question I am guessing that you don't know. It's pretty obvious that you don't care.

ItsGrimUpNorth · 21/10/2009 12:38

Daftpunk, I really hope you can prove that you are an indigenous Briton (ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha - whatever that means!) back to Norman times at the very least with no 'foreign' DNA input whatsover.

Otherwise, your beloved Nick Griffin will want you out.

And, if you're very right wing, you won't be wanting any interference from government, will you? So, I hope you're not accepting any child benefit or anything silly like that because well, that would just be nanny state and not right wing at all.

The BNP are racist scum. And if you vote for them, you're racist scum too. Very very easy that.

daftpunk · 21/10/2009 12:41

yes i know all that cherryblossoms...

i'm unsure...but i can't help agreeing with alot of what he says...

i know by admitting this not a single person on MN will talk to me again.

i'm not an idiot...i'm actually quite intelligent...

VulpusinaWilfsuit · 21/10/2009 12:43

Come and join us on the Anti-Fascist thread

ItsGrimUpNorth · 21/10/2009 12:43

Do you think that black people should leave the UK, daftpunk?

midnightexpress · 21/10/2009 12:45

And if I recollect, they don't like women who go out to work either, do they? Taking jobs away from (British) men and all.

abra1d · 21/10/2009 12:46

I'm hoping you won't vote for them either, Daftpunk.

I always read your posts with interest and I actually admire the way you've got the guts to say what you think and take the flak.

But don't vote for them. The fact you're still here and talking about it makes me hope your mind is still open a little.

daftpunk · 21/10/2009 12:46

no i don't.. not if they were born here..

but i don't want any more immigrants..

BigGitDad · 21/10/2009 12:46

DP, for someone who doesn't like men being on MN somehow it does not suprise me that you do not want Blacks/immigrants etc in the UK either.
However DP I do agree with you that the working class white do feel they have been alienated in this country and I have thought that for a while. Immigration is an issue for a lot of people especially those who feel that they have something to fear from it. The problem for me is that labour and other political parties if you like have not addressed that issue (Or do not want to)So while immigration is a political issue for these people parties like the BNP will appear attractive.
FIW I think BNP should be allowed on Question Time, we are a Democracy and so we should respect that. It is down to the other political parties to address the issues that are making the BNP popular.
I also believe that Rupert Murdoch weilds far more power than the BNP ever will (but that is another issue) and it will be the media that will determine the full political success of the BNP.

Marioandluigi · 21/10/2009 12:47

I hope that he shows himself up for the idiot that he is!

GrimmaTheNome · 21/10/2009 12:52

Not wanting more immigration is one thing. Voting for a party which objects to mixed races is entirely different.

[personally I think Britain long ago forfeited the right to complain about 'foreigners' coming peacefully to this country, what with our history of colonization and empire building. But I can see that there are practical problems with poorly managed immigration which need to be addressed by rational political parties]

daftpunk · 21/10/2009 12:54

yes BGD...i'm sticking up for the white working class of this country...and i'll do all i can for them..

if that makes me a fascist....fine, i'll live with it.

ladylush · 21/10/2009 12:57

So misguided

electra · 21/10/2009 13:01

I refer back to something earlier on this thread where someone said 'people feel like strangers in their own country'

WTF is that supposed to mean?? Frankly I'm struggling to understand the concept of nationality at all - what exactly is the point of it - how exactly does anyone have the right to lay claim to any country? IMO the concept is absolute nonsense, and is indeed divisive. Perhaps we should all rise above it, instead!!

seeker · 21/10/2009 13:03

So, daftpunk - you believe that white poeple should not marry black people?

B1984 · 21/10/2009 13:03

dp
fascist...racist...

abra1d · 21/10/2009 13:12

'how exactly does anyone have the right to lay claim to any country? '

What right do you have to live in your house? Why can't I move in?

SomeGuy · 21/10/2009 13:12

IME, people of immigrant stock are often the most opposed to immigration themselves.

Which might seem hypocritical, but it's hardly surprising, since they will be competing for the same resources (while the white middle classes are hardly affected at all, living at arm's length and with contact with immigrants only as a convenient source of cheap labour).

I've also frequently heard 'I came here and learned the language and integrated, why do these [other immigrant group] think they don't need to'.

Don't think they'll be voting BNP, however.

bodycolder · 21/10/2009 13:20

Good lord all the white working class people I know would be insulted to be associated with you and your views.
