Why won't Jordan just name her rapist?

Why do women feel embarrassed of it? Why do they feel they must protect the rapist?

OP posts:

and 5% chance is probably for the average jane, KP would pobably have 0.05% chance

save your anger for all the woman, who dp report it to police and whos cases don't even get to court

noddyholder · 17/09/2009 15:54

Of course its not up to me but this is a discussion forum and that is my POV.Why did she tell the papers?Because she knew the publicity would be like this and that is her oxygen. Why now after all these years?Fgs she is so transparent it is becoming sad.I am hoping this is the final nail in her coffin we do not need these people in our papers day in day out when there are so many other people doing amazing things all around the world who are never recognised.

LynetteScavo · 17/09/2009 15:59

The whole thing is very messy.

Last night I started speculating as to who it may be, and DH pointed ou, that on the basis of my little knowledge of KP's life, I now suspected X was a rapist.
DH was quite right to be

Fleabie · 17/09/2009 16:00

well it seems the celebrity obsessed country we live in is just becoming more and more fascinated by celebrity

maybe she let it out becuase its been eatting away at her for years?

sometimes people don't report such things for many many years

Fleabie · 17/09/2009 16:01

i'm sure it will comeout who it is, only a matter of time really.....

TheFoosa · 17/09/2009 16:09

well, if you search the internet forums then the alleged rapist has been named

Fleabie · 17/09/2009 16:19

which forum ?

Fleabie · 17/09/2009 17:10

so this alex, was he actually in a porn movie, about rape?

she does like to put men down and have power over them, makes me think somethings happened to her to make her that way.

i beleieve her

TheFoosa · 17/09/2009 17:33

I have no idea if any of it is true or not

She was supposed to have been wearing a top or something with some sort of 'clue' when the story broke

she should just be quiet now and if the allegations are true then persue them privately

2kidzandi · 17/09/2009 17:36

I really think it's the victim's perogative to mention whether or not she's been raped or abused and equally her perogative to choose to identify or not identify who was responsible.

Some people can admit to the experience but cannot face the idea of all the drama that would follow formally identifying the person. Even mentioning their name. Let alone doing so to the media and going to court.

I think Jordan admitted being raped because she felt hated by the media, but really didn't think about what the conseqences of mentioning it would be.

I really can't stand her but equally don't see why she should mention who her rapist was just to please the public.

Yours too dittany. Great minds eh?

Mamazon · 17/09/2009 17:50

This whole storyline is depressing.

She either HAS been raped andf wont name names for fear of ruining a career, either his or hers. there are claims he has done this before and quite possibly will continue to do so as he feels untouchable due to his celeb status.
It sends and awfull message to victims of rape.

or B) she was never raped and this is all a publicity stunt in order to gain some sympathy following her split as her behaviour has shown her in an awful light since the split.

in which case she really is the lowest form of scum. anyone that makes such false claims should be vilified by the world and never get to have a single word publicised again.

for every false claim there are 10 real victims who are doubted.

Vicx · 17/09/2009 17:51

The names I have seen on other forums are Teddy Sheringham, Frank Lampard and more hilariously Dean Gaffney!
And obviously John Leslie and Jack Tweed have been added to the possible list for good measure.

cocolepew · 17/09/2009 17:51

Jesus she looks awful in that Mirror photo. She's always been a bit blase about any sexual attacks on her, she's a strange woman.

Mamazon · 17/09/2009 18:01

why is Dean gaffney hilarious as a suspect?

donnie · 17/09/2009 18:07

if she really was raped that is very sad indeed.

The fact that this week's copy of OK mag has a big front cover pic of her with "I was raped by a celebrity" as its header tells me everything I need to know about her. Even her rape is for sale.

Even sadder.

Fleabie · 17/09/2009 18:32

mamazon, i doubt the ratio for fake claim/real rapes is 1-10

Sorry bad choice of words on my part. Dean Gaffney isn't a hilarious supsect, it's just he's seems so unlikely but you never know, it's always the quiet ones.
Well said Donnie, Even her rape is for sale.

Hulababy · 17/09/2009 19:04

Actually I don't think the accussed should be names in public.

Once he is named, then he will be deemed automatically guilty by many.

Only the two of them know what happened. It may or may not be true. I have no way of knowing which would be telling the truth.

However, even if it is not true, then once his name was in the media there would always be that doubt fom others - and mud sticks.

If he is guilty, then this ought to be dealt with privately through the right channels, not splashed all over the internet, the presm magazines and TV shows.

Fleabie · 17/09/2009 21:19

over 30 people came forward about jl, and he still got off....

LynetteScavo · 17/09/2009 21:54

I've just had a peek at a US forum, and my, she is not popular over there!

Fleabie · 17/09/2009 21:54

jl interview

mayorquimby · 18/09/2009 10:49

"The number of rape convictions from rapes reported is 5%. 95% of victims don't get justice and a good number of that is because they are disbelieved"

sorry but saying 95% of victims don't get justice is just as misleading as those who claim that a high proportion of women "cry rape", it assumes that 100% of rapes reported are actually rape.
