i don't know... all you lot showing off about your quick labours - i wish!!!

48 hours of painful contractions ending in an emergency c-section anyway... I think giving birth in the street would have been preferable

Oh they tried to do this with me

I went into labour at 5.30 ish, i was in the bath at 6.30 and started wanting to push so knew it was going to be soon, my waters hadnt broken but dd had been born in her waters so i knew there was guarantee in that

I got dh to phone an ambulance and the dispatcher was very reluctant to send one, i think she only agreed when dh said something along the lines of "i know my wife she doesnt like to make a guss, if she says she needs an ambulance, she NEEDs an ambulance"

the ambulance arrived just before seven and ds was born within minutes, if i and my dh werent so arsey then i prob would have had dh somewhere on the four flights of stairs in my building or in the car park as i lay down to slow things a bit

In our area the midwife asks us how we wouldmake our way to hospital and this is added on our notes..
with my first I paniced and did phone the hospital and asked for an ambulance but was adviced they wont come out and I should get a taxi in..It was a false alarm(was my first )so I can see why they dont send them out..

ah donteatthat have had both a 44 hour one an a 35 minute one LOL (and 2 in the middle)

I was aware that it might happen fast- the HB was booked in anticipation of that 9though I did have to take on the hospital for that)

Had I not had a HB booked, ds4 would either have beend elivered by DH on the floor, or by DH iin the car at tesco Petrol Station had we decided to dash to hospital- in which case all 3 small ds's would ahve witnessed it as well.

I do think if I ahdnt ahd MN I wouldnt ahve had the balls to fight for the HB )based on chickening out with ds3 when obstacles arose)
