I know. It's such an easy button to push

frasersmummy · 28/06/2009 12:12

The question of the day seems to be did his doctor kill him???

If he did .. did MJ ask him to???

ilovemydogandmrobama · 28/06/2009 12:48

I listened to the 911 call, and as far as I can tell, there was an hour delay between MJ collapsing and calling an ambulance. During that time the doc was doing CPR, but seems a bit of a long time to be doing it without asking for back up?

I may have misunderstood though.

Michael Jackson's life story is the saddest I have ever seen played out in public.

Anyone who does not have the compassion to see that is lacking something very basic I think.

I have always loved his music but tbh am already sick of the blanket coverage on tv and my next door neighbours continual michael jackson cd playing 24/7 without a break! I am unsure about the abuse allegations.Spoke to my mum who works in this field and she said something v intersting. The media seem to be implying that his lack of childhood and his inability to grow up couple with his own personal experience of being abused somehow caused his problems with relationships with children ? paedophilia. And they are using it as almost a getout clause for his behaviour. But as my mum says the problem with that is that most paedophiles fit that profile so do we excuse them all???

Jumente · 28/06/2009 13:25

Who is the guy who wrote that? It doesn't strike me as very interesting or very perceptive, really.

violethill · 28/06/2009 13:26

Been some fantastic tributes to MJ over the weekend.
Oops, sorry, must have the wrong thread, this doesn't appear to be about MJ

staggerlee · 28/06/2009 13:41

dittany, its possible to admire someones talents and artistic achievements without condoning their behaviour in other aspects of their lives. No one here has condoned paedophilia but have suggested that people are far more complex than you like to imagine.

Your very polarised view suggests that you should look at your deeper feelings too. As usual you post links to justify your views and make insinuations that those that don't agree with you condone abhorrent behaviour.
I used to find your posts interesting until I realised that they are always the same.

monkeytrousers · 28/06/2009 13:41

LOL. Yes, I am projecting

I also have a false memory of agreeing with you once

'No one here has condoned paedophilia '

Hear hear staggerlee. You are absolutely correct - no one has condoned it. It's just a cheap shot to say they have.

monkeytrousers · 28/06/2009 13:59

here here

Vev · 28/06/2009 14:00

The man's dead for God's sake - why has something he was proved innocent of been dragged up? They accepted money - is that more important than getting justice for your child?

Let him rest in peace.

staggerlee · 28/06/2009 14:17

Dittany, all your arguments follow the same formula i.e posting (dubious) links supporting your arguments, your use of all inclusive phrases such as 'Jackson defenders' (I assume you have me in that category too since I had the audacity to disagree with you) and crude interpretations of others views.
I don't find your posts interesting or enlightening because they are so predictable.

I didn't say I think calling other posters 'morons' or 'hysterical' was ok-did I? Just another projection on your part.

I think MJ probably did abuse children although lets face us none of us really know. That doesn't negate his talent but neither does his talent excuse his behaviour.

mamadiva · 28/06/2009 14:27

I never was a fan of MJ's BUT no one can take away from the fact that musically the man was and will forever be a legend!

I like some of his music and I think the guy can dance like no other, this does'nt mean I 'excuse' what he did on behalf of of his sleb status, to me it is like he had 2 seperate lives one in which he was a musical genius and the other he was a seriously messed up train wreck of a person who may or may not have abused children.

We can disagree with one and not the other.

In the same we can think someone is great when we are at work with them but you might dislike them becausde they go out and get rat arsed every night and turn into a total prick.

Obviously not the same situationa and yes I realise I am ranting but hopefully you get my point.

No I think it would be much more fun not to read them, that's a great idea.

I think you made your point 'rilly rilly' well dittany. That is that you really don't care whether people agree or disagree with you, you have nothing to learn from others and that this forum is an opportunity for you to soliloquise endlessly about your concrete opinions.

Wheres the opportunity for discussion there?

whats rilly rilly?

bobbysmum07 · 28/06/2009 17:24

Last time I looked this thread was about Michael Jackson. I doubt whether many people here want to read a 15 line tirade written by you about you, dittany.

We get it. All child accusers must be believed no matter what and even in the face of incontrovertible evidence that they are cunning and manipulative liars.

What you don't seem to understand is that no one here is looking to defend the actions of a paedophile. On the other hand, we're all old enough and smart enough to be able to read between the lines.

You seem to have a very simplistic and dangerous worldview. No offence.
