Terry George evidently made his millions by going on the road with his big event - 'Mr Gay UK'.

You couldn't make this stuff up.

Quattrocento · 29/06/2009 00:11

It wasn't actually fake concern.

You're asserting he's guilty of something of which he has been found innocent. And you're absolutely refusing to contemplate any alternative possibilities. That's a visceral reaction, not a rational one. Was trying to reduce the position to absurdity so you'd laugh and see.

Pan · 29/06/2009 00:11

Dittany does.

Pan · 29/06/2009 00:11

Dittany does.

SomeGuy · 29/06/2009 00:12

Well it's hard to say what he actually thinks of Jackson (who he refused to testify against)

THis is from his twitter feed:

"I know the Sunday papers will write sh** about me and Michael Jackson tomorrow. If they do I?ll refute it on my Sky News interview at 9.10am
9:30 AM Jun 27th from web "

His twitter image is the same photo of him with Jackson. It's quite hard to believe George's self-publicity is entirely unembelished. He reckons he was going around interviewing pop stars aged 12. Don't think even Branson got started that early.

Take away the rather dubious claims about his precociousness and what are you left with? A gay man (George) claiming to have had phone sex with Jackson.

WEll that's how AIDS started isn't it? Just look at the evidence. How can you deny it! Somebody ate the bushmeat!

daftpunk · 29/06/2009 09:16

pan....thank you for making me laugh already...only 9.15am

mamadiva · 29/06/2009 09:40

God just been reading through the last few pages, agree with Dittany in the sense that a child should be believed when making such accusations BUT you also need to remember that atleast 2 of these (Jordy & Gavin) gave evidence unwillingly.

Jordy's father used a powerful sedative on him to make him 'admit the truth' and Jordy also refused to testify against him if it went to court.

AFAIK Gavin was also forced to 'confess' by his family!

Now I have to admit until Saturday I thought that MJ was an abuser but after being told that Jordy had admitted lying, (DISCLAIMER: I started a thread saying these reports were unconfirmed but it seems to have vanished for some reason and none of these claims can be backed up), I started to look up a bit of background on the cases and it makes interesting reading, so mnay contradictions on everyone's part except from MJ.

Don't know if anyone has seen the sun today, I know not exactly the most reliable source but I think this is heartbreaking

daftpunk · 29/06/2009 09:58

mamadiva..problem you have is some people wont listen to the facts....people are too easily swayed.....which is why jurors are not told about any past crimes of the accused (if indeed there were any)....it's like the star chamber on here.

people should remember MJ for his fantastic contribution to music and entertainment...he is irreplaceable.

mamadiva · 29/06/2009 10:02

Totally Daftpunk he is and always will be a music legend!

Although must admit never really been a fan until the past week or so, well used to like his music but the more I'm listening to and watching the more I am realising how much of an influence he actually had in the music world.

Luvin' Smooth Criminal ATM have to say

bobbysmum07 · 29/06/2009 10:03

Utterly heartbreaking.

You don't have to be a 'fan' to feel sad after reading that. You just have to be human.

This was the total destruction of a human life from start to end played out in full public view.

Makes you feel like crying.

mamadiva · 29/06/2009 10:10

It really does bobbysmum I could feel myself welling up and looking at his picture you can just see a tortured and tormented soul who has through wanting perfection turned himself into a monster.

I hope now atleast he is at peace.

edam · 29/06/2009 10:19

Bit odd that The Sun is embellishing the autopsy findings by wailing about broken ribs though. Isn't it enough that the poor sod (whether he was an abuser or not) was 8st and a mass of scars? Broken ribs are an entirely normal and predictable result of attempts to save the live of someone having a heart attack.

Mind you, I guess most Hollywood actresses are 8st too.

edam · 29/06/2009 10:21

life, oh Lord am going to be drummed out of pedants' corner...

FairLadyRantALot · 29/06/2009 15:43

edam, indeed, broken ribs after having been tried to revive for an hour....par of the course...

not read anything about the autopsy report, tbh....but, 8st rings about true, he was emaciated, I thought, and tbh, when the news of his death and the heart attack came out, I wodnered if his undernorished state led to it...

thegingerwhinger · 29/06/2009 16:42

I don't know how on earth he ever would have managed to do 50 shows. It looks in the pictures that he can barely walk, let alone dance.

I feel very sad for the person he might have been if he had been nurtured and loved whilst growing up. Looking at the pictures from his youth make me feel very angry towards those who mistreated him.

morningsun · 29/06/2009 17:24

The videos of "I want you back" age about 8 to 12 show him absolutely in control of his voice and dancing ~ really loving the music. It's compelling to watch from this perspective because you enjoy it immensely but have a real feeling of tragedy about his whole life.

Very joyous yet absolutely heartbreaking

sendacow · 29/06/2009 17:39

Very sad. Dont forget the great work he did for charity. Not only was Michael an extremely talented musician who contributed enormously to the world of entertainment but he also used his fame and fortune to bring great causes the to the attention of the world. That is something that Send a Cow thinks is just as amazing as his music! He especially recognized the poverty of families and children in Africa and his song earth song highlights this. God bless x

matildax · 29/06/2009 18:02

bad karma to speak ill of the dead, remember that.....

i am disgusted and deeply disturbed by some of the posts on this thread.

some of you really are heartless f**kers.

he was a icon, a genius, an inspiration, to millions, including most solo artist and groups of today.
yes a little eccentric, but in the most innocent way imagineable.
he was a naive sweet gentleman, who was not charged with anything!!
he was an easy target.

the world has lost one of its biggest superstars of all time.

my heart goes out to his children and family. and i echo another poster who said if you have nothing nice to say, dont say anything at all.

good night god bless mj,
may you be allowed to rest in peace xxxxx

Upwind · 29/06/2009 20:45

All you MJ devotees
seems yer all mingers

"He was a martyr, in the sense that Diana was a martyr. Her death evoked an astonishing response, partly because she spoke to every woman who has been let down by a man, every woman who has worried about her weight, every woman who feels the system is unfair to women. That is a lot of women.

Michael Jackson went one better. He spoke to the billions of people the world over who feel that they do not conform in some way to the Hollywood stereotype of good looks ? either because they are too fat or thin or the wrong colour or have the wrong sort of eyes or nose. In a world dominated by a demoralising canon of physical perfection, he was the patron saint of dysmorphia.

Never was someone so obviously and so literally unhappy in his own skin, and by his obsessional suffering he earned the potential sympathy of everyone who feels doubtful about their appearance, which is a fair chunk of the human race."
