Some pretty interesting facts on his wiki.

spokette · 26/06/2009 12:38

RIP Michael.

You have gone to a better place.

I will remember you for the genius and great entertainer that you were and will forever be.

spokette · 26/06/2009 12:42

There are some very nasty and disgusting people on this thread. At least have the human decency to wait until the man has been buried before you start trotting out your vile polemics on a man that none of you actually know.

BunnyLebowski · 26/06/2009 12:44

I can only presume you did know him personally spokette?

PeachyTheRiverParrettHarlot · 26/06/2009 12:45

ilovemydog His Mum is still alive

Which is where my sympathy lies- horribble to outlive your child

spokette · 26/06/2009 12:58

Bunny

My sentiments refer to his music. I don't comment on the rumours or other stuff because he was not convicted and was cleared by a jury.

What I do know, is that he has just died and I wish the foul ghouls would crawl back to the cesspit from which they have crawled.

The ghouls do not have 1 millionth of the talent that Michael has and he touch so many people around the world.

He was a true, living genius.

BunnyLebowski · 26/06/2009 13:00

"I don't comment on the rumours or other stuff because he was not convicted and was cleared by a jury."

Now that rings a bell.....oh who was it?......hang on.......oh yeah....2 words

OJ Simpson.

Maninadirndl · 26/06/2009 13:01

Well at least those who attacked him can't hurt him anymore. That goes for all those here who have said nasty things.

I haven't got the faintest idea what this person is like, but I watched the trial in 2004 and in a civilised society we must respect its findings and judge this man as innocent. If not then the next time you hear rumours and hearsay in your neighbourhood simply go and lynch the person.

He was found innocent. He was an eccentric but not sick. I find it indicative that Mark Lester is the godfather of his kids (remember him in the 70s?) that he related to people who were child stars. I think celebrity so young must ruin your life to be honest as you don't develop in a normal way.

I was never a massive fan of his but I do love the Thriller video. Poor man. Poor poor man.

'If it doesn't fit, you must acquit.'

pinklady5 · 26/06/2009 13:05

omg , it took only 1 hour for mj jokes to come flooding in to my mobile
poor guy ,

flowerybeanbag · 26/06/2009 13:05

That's interesting on that Wiki link about the mental health professional who assessed him and thought he didn't match the profile of a paedophile but was a regressed 10-year-old.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People_v._Jackson

Read this rather than believing the medias coverage of the court case.

spokette · 26/06/2009 13:15

Keep polishing your halo Bunny.

BunnyLebowski · 26/06/2009 13:26

How do my thoughts on MJ equate to me considering myself "angelic" Spokette?

I've based my opinion of him on what I've seen. His children forced to walk around wearing masks. Him dangling his baby over a balcony. His own admission that he had "sleepovers" with pubescent boys.

Believe what you like but I'm not one to suck up what the media and pr people tell me. To excuse his behaviour by saying he was "a child trapped in man's body" is ridiculous, dangerous and insulting to the people his behaviour affected. He was a grown man who chose to live his life as he did. He put his life out there in the public domain - the public have a right to have an opinion about it.

posieparker · 26/06/2009 13:41

Hear hear Bunny.

hands up all the people who would have allowed their children to stay at Neverland????

izyboy · 26/06/2009 13:50

A talented but tortured person. His death is a surprise but no shock.

HerHonesty · 26/06/2009 13:59

god there are some sickos on this thread. its about the music, doesnt anyone have respect for that?

TheDevilWearsSocksWithSandals · 26/06/2009 14:01

''As part of the evidence to show attraction to boys, the prosecution introduced two books featuring nude prepubescent boys. The books were seized from Jackson in 1993 and never returned [22]. The prosecution portrayed them as being child erotica or pornography, showing a sexual attraction to boys. However, the defense characterized them as wholly non-sexual, non-pornographic, art books. The defense pointed out that the books were legal to possess, and Jackson was therefore never charged with owning them. While both featured nudity, neither book contains any depictions of sexual acts. Jackson lost possession of the books long before meeting the current accuser, which is why the books were a part of the 1108 evidence. He has never been accused of showing these two books to any boys.
One book, "The Boy: A photographic Essay" features many pictures of nude boys, including some explicit pictures of genitalia. The pictures were of boys who took part in the 1963 film adaptation of the book Lord of the Flies. One book had an inscription saying it was from a fan. While the other book read this inscription :
"Look at the true spirit of happiness and joy in these boys' faces. This is the spirit of boyhood, a life I never had and will always dream of. This is the life I want for my children." ''

So sad

womma · 26/06/2009 14:15

Yep, there's some people on here loving the view from their high horse alright!

ino · 26/06/2009 14:42

Kerry - I am unsettled by your venom. Where do people who are not in a position to know the truth get the energy to have such anger towards someone and brand them as 'evil', without knowing for sure that the allegations they cite are true?

My view is that MJ is not a child molester but a very misunderstood individual who had a particular interest in children, but not a sexual one. I may be right or wrong but that's my perception based only on the limited access I have to knowledge about what really happened.

Unfortunately though, we live in a society where if any adult, especially a man is linked with a child who is not his own people are up in arms that they must be a sex offender. Unfortunately there are a lot of sex offenders around but I don't think MJ was one...IMO

spokette · 26/06/2009 15:06

Unwarranted venom such as that from Kerry usually comes from those who are dissatisfied with their own lives and so gain comfort from demonising others. The fact that they cannot justify their venom with concrete evidence is a mute point.

Bunny, your comment about MJ dangling his baby over the balcony is example of how you have sucked up what the media has promulgated. Mark Lester is godfather to MJ's children and MJ to his.Lester was in the hotel room when the so called baby dangling incident happened. He said that MJ did not dangle the baby over the balcony but held him up for the fans to see. The angle from which most of us saw the incident made it appear that he was dangling the baby but those with him said he was not.Lester said that it was a big fuss about nothing.

However, anything that puts MJ in a bad light sells.

BunnyLebowski · 26/06/2009 15:12

OFGS that's ridiculous spokette

photo

Just look at that picture.

He is laughing whilst holding his baby son over a 4th floor balcony. Look at the baby's legs - he's being thrust over the bar.

If this was to show the baby off when why the hell is his head covered??

And of course Mark Lester is going to defend him. He's a total has-been who is milking his "friendship" with MJ dry for publicity.

Nancy66 · 26/06/2009 15:34

Are you saying he didn't dangle his child over a balcony? We all saw it - what was it trick photography?

VelvetCushions · 26/06/2009 16:03

He definitely did dangle that baby but what does that prove? It was a moment of stupidity which he said regretted.
It was stupid but I don't think it makes him evil.

monkeytrousers · 26/06/2009 16:45

The real tragedy is probably something to do with him being gay and always feeling he had to deny it, to himself and everyone else. He was hothoused by his dad. And they were strictly religious, weren't they?
