Thank goodness I don't own one single Graco item, is all I can say.

my pushchairs a graco - eeek! but the only stroller that seems to be affected is a "century", and they stopped production of that in 2001.

well that's going to be the one and only graco purchase I ever make.

mummytosteven · 23/03/2005 13:42

you'ld have thought after the first injured baby they might have started worrying, not after 250

NomDePlume · 23/03/2005 13:43

The death toll is shocking too

Although, didn't Graco make a large proportion of Mothercare's own brand stuff too - strollers, car seats etc ?

mummytosteven · 23/03/2005 13:49

details of the recalled strollers:-

Model Name Years Made
Take 2 2000
Travel Solutions 1999-2000
Pioneer 1998-2000
Travelite 1997-1998
Pro Sport 1996-1999

lockets

FWIW, the parents I know with Graco buggies have all had countless painful trapping/pinching injuries from unfolding/folding their Graco's

mummytosteven · 23/03/2005 13:52

my graco has been fine to fold unfold (bl**dy difficult and stiff but no injuries to report), but several times have got fingers pinced doing the harness up

OMG. I'd decided on a Graco pram but quietly yearned for M&P. Thank God my hormones took over and I thought sod the money and got M&P

BadgerBadger · 23/03/2005 15:20

This is disgusting! I can't believe they were only fined! Sound as though the management should be locked up for manslaughter at the very least by now. Why should a company get away with killing?

Very shocked to read that they class the safety notice regarding the swings as a potential problem ! They then go one to say that six LO's have already died and an additional 209 incidents have occured. (That they know of.)

Potential problem, my arse.

nikcola · 23/03/2005 15:27

nikcola · 23/03/2005 15:34
