Load of stupid bloody nonsense!

HeadFairy · 13/06/2008 08:59

do some people just have too much money and time on their hands? who on earth thinks of these things?

OP posts:
claricebeansmum · 13/06/2008 08:59

So wrong, so so wrong.

Blandmum · 13/06/2008 09:00

at the risk of being a little wanky over this.

Do you think that this is all psrt of the insane situation that we have over maturity nowerdays? Adults want to be 'Kidults' and refuse to grow up and we feel the need to snatch away normal childhoodnad force kids into a pretence of adulthood too soon?

HeadFairy · 13/06/2008 09:00

they've been running this on bbc breakfast too with some vox pops from the States, some people actually think they're cute and there's nothing wrong with them.

OP posts:
HeadFairy · 13/06/2008 09:01

that's not wanky at all mb, I think it's scary how much some people sexualise their children. why on earth would you dress your child like a hooker?

OP posts:
Fillyjonk · 13/06/2008 09:03

"It would have been hilarious if I could have brought Kayla to a party in high heels when she was a baby."

no i am afraid I beg to differ

HeadFairy · 13/06/2008 09:04

perhaps they can get her a boob job too?

Why would you want to make your dc into a cripple?

That is what it will do - sadly

Babys bones are so supple that even babygrows that are to small will put feet into traction and alter the bone direction - cant bear to think what these shoes will do.

The only people that will benifit is the chiropodists in 20 years time, when the feet are in such a state they need expensive treatment to help them walk.

Foot binding in china was wipped out eventually, thankfully.

goes and has a weep in the corner

CurrantBM · 13/06/2008 09:13

Hilarious-no

Hideous-yes

BouncingTurtle · 13/06/2008 09:14

My baby is 6mo... he doesn't wear shoes full stop!!!
He won't be getting any until he starts walking.
These are just vile, vile, vile.
But where there are morons, there will be a market for them

wasabipeanut · 13/06/2008 09:17

Uuurrrrggggghhhhhhh.

So many idiots, way too much time.

SirDigbyChickenCaesar · 13/06/2008 09:17

my cousin wants to put toe nail polish on her 10 month old. right up her street i would think.

FAQ · 13/06/2008 09:18

hideous - saw in the news this morning and was going to start a thread too.

geekgirl · 13/06/2008 09:20

oh yuk. Actually felt queasy at the sight of these.
MB, I think you're right.

CatIsSleepy · 13/06/2008 09:21

heelarious? oh my god.
what a horrendous idea

Botbot · 13/06/2008 09:22

Yep, I feel sick too. Nasty.

katwith3kittens · 13/06/2008 09:23

Beyond belief ........

suwoo · 13/06/2008 09:24

Not defending them in any way, but they look to be those soft shoes with just a daft fabric heel- not actual hard shoes like real stilettoes. I wouldn't imagine they would cause any damage if the baby chav is sitting in the farkaboo wearing them with her matching headband

AlistairSim · 13/06/2008 09:25

I know we all try really hard not to be all judgey-judgey here but ffs.

What kind of a deranged loon would think this was in any way appropriate??

And here I was worrying about the insidious influence of Barbie.....

UpSinceCrapOClock · 13/06/2008 09:26

Reminds me of those trainers you see for babies (why? How often do babies go for a run?)

MB - I completely agree with you about adults acting like children and forcing 'adulthood' onto children.

BettySpaghetti · 13/06/2008 09:27

I thought the mock-Crocs in Next for babies 0-3 months were bad enough but this takes the biscuit!

meemar · 13/06/2008 09:27

They will be bought by the kind of people who buy outfits for dogs.

I am more at Tesco selling padded bras and pole-dancing kits for children!
