The utter evil of ISIS

Is anyone watching the documentary on Sky News about the genocide of the Yazidis by ISIS? The abduction of women and children who were made to be sex slaves. The tens of thousands who fled into the desert or were murdered.

I don't even why I'm so shocked by this disgusting group of individuals. I don't believe anyone linked to them should have any future in Britain. I don't even care if they were born here. They don't belong in a Western democracy.

And how would you like them to "speak out" then?
They do rejevy these, publicly even and it's still apparent not enough

Honestly I think it needs a social media strategy to reach generation TikTok. It's really hard to reach disaffected young men because 'Be a decent, hardworking, Godly man' isn't as exciting as vids of twenty year olds waving guns and riding in jeeps across deserts.

But basically grassroots activism and engaging young people in understanding the compromise of 'being Muslim in a secular/ liberal Christian culture' would be a starting point. And frankly encouraging first to third generation immigrants to engage beyond their own Muslim communities. We need better integration in Britain.

It is very much the case that if the news focussed their airtime on conflicts and human rights abused around the world, based on an objective algorithm of the impact of those conflicts on civilians, people's impression of what is happening in the world, and where the problems are, would be very different to now.

However, everyone would be a lot more depressed.

@SquirrelSoShiny tbf they are trying. You have imams on insta, youtube etc answering questions. Fatwaas are online etc.

It would be VERY VERY hard to reach billions of people lf different cultures. I don't think it's achievable. Muslims are not a mono group. There are not just religious, but also cultural differences which influence thinking.

A Yazidi sex-slave, taken as a child, was rescued from captivity in Gaza. Tells you what life in a Palestinian state might be like.
