NOTW comes up trumps again!

I love the sound of Guy Pelly's mother:

I saw another quote from a "friend" of Harry's which I can't find now saying you have to be pretty thick to leave Eton with only 1 A Level - and was that the Art one he cheated on (allegedly)?

I would like to point out that both parents broadcast the details of their own sex lives to the media. Ghastly.
And totally agree with Scummy and JanH....they just don't get it, do they?

Oh I agree it must have been absolutely mortifying...I blame the parents

KateandtheGirls · 16/01/2005 14:04

They must have terrific copy editors at NOTW. The headline says

"Who's want to bed Queen?"

Is it just me, or does that not make any sense?

Ikwym, lockets. That's why I'm actually more shocked at the evidence of such high levels of prejudice and ignorance in the princes' social mileau than at their individual idiocy and prejudice per se...

personally I feel it's all vaguely amusing the way the press has created this non story and spread rabid hysteria throughout the entire western world! apparently the press all over Europe, the US, Israel etc has gone into overdrive. Same old, same old. There are other matters which concern me far more, like ' Sir' Mark Thatcher buying his way out of trouble yet again, free to peddle arms for a few more decades and thus get lots of nice kiddies killed or maimed. Why isn't the Sun foaming at the gob about that? why aren't we, here on Mumsnet? let's face it the Royal Family is not very interesting and they have no real power - not in the way that corporate businesses, arms dealers or drug barons have real power to abuse and wreck ( union carbide and the 20th anniversary of Bhopal, anyone?) and while I think Prince Harry is a bit of a dullard, I can think of a great many people who are far, far worse and more deserving of our collective wrath.

Maybe it is a Who from Whoville, Kate?

Tortington · 16/01/2005 22:34

he should apologise for the hwole royal families existance - fuckwit

Caligula · 16/01/2005 22:42

Must admit, I agree with lockets that condemning innocent babies to be brought up the way the Windsor's are and to turn them into the vacuuous, parasitical people they are is an act of gross cruelty. Forget the politics of it, I really do think that the most humane thing we could do is to abolish the monarchy, I can't understand how people who support the royal family can condemn the Windsor's to such a miserable existence. If I were a royalist, I'd want them abolished on humane grounds. As I'm not, I just want them abolished!
