I’m reading BBC live updates and that’s bad enough.

I completely agree. It was, I think, not wholly unexpected, but watching it makes me feel sick.

I flicked it on, saw Trump make a comment that he liked what Zelensky was wearing and thought 'christ you're a prick.' I can't watch it. Too angry. I'll need to watch chunks or read some comments and then try again.

Zelensky must be close to telling them fuck off. Even though he can’t.

And there we go. Trump showing himself to be an ignorant bombastic bully, who thinks he can browbeat the democratically elected president of another country.

If I were American, I would be heartily ashamed of such an absurd and embarrassing outburst. How did such a cheap make-up encrusted spiv ever become POTUS?

I really fear for Zelensky on a personal level. I’ve always thought he wouldn’t get out of this war alive ☹️. My heart was racing watching him just have to sit there and be humiliated. I guess he doesn’t have the luxury of taking it personally and walking off ☹️

Yes, agree the offer of a state visit, which cast Keir Starmer and quite possibly the King as Uriah Heeps should be rescinded because it makes us complicit in appeasing Trump who is many things including an unmitigated bully.

i have never witnessed such a terrifying and disgraceful scene. Wouldn’t blame Zelensky for walking away. After all, a just war is better than an unjust peace.

It’s making me want to cry

I feel like crying too. This is beyond horrendous.

I hated Trump anyway but this has made me hate him more. At least Zelenskyy can hold his head high knowing that he's not a money and fame obsessed cunt. I eagerly await Trump's supporters excuses for him and Vance.

It's the way someone asked why he never wears a suit as well. As if that makes you a better leader, but definitely sounded like it was done in such a way to put him down. DH and I were watching it in utter shock at how it went. We couldn't decide if Zelenskyy was wanting to just walk off or punch him in the face at one point too. All very much putting down Europe and trying to promote the US and Trump as the absolute saviour.

And who knew Trump had apparently saved us from multiple wars around the world that we had never known were going to happen. 🙄

They are already celebrating.
