It’s shocking this was allowed to happen. Huge failure on the part of HMPS.

Ah well! These things happen. On the plus side it’s not looking good for him unless he’s cut off from the whole population of HMP for the next 40 years.

ChishiyaBat · 02/01/2025 23:33

Hopefully he gets tortured like this every week, scared and alone just like that poor little girl he murdered, he deserves no sympathy and I don't care that two wrongs don't make a right, he is a monster who deserves to suffer as far as I am concerned.

How would they know who did it? I imagine nobody saw anything!

I imagine there are cameras to indicate who went into the cell and people coming out with blood on their clothes. Maybe some screams to bring the guards running.

AquaPeer · 02/01/2025 23:33

Ladybyrd · 02/01/2025 23:28

But he’s in prison with men just like him; who have committed similar crimes and are of similar character. I really didn’t think he would be seen as remarkable in that environment.

This isn't how it works. Burglars, men who have committed gbh, even those who've committed domestic abuse, really don't see themselves on the same level as sex offenders and child abusers. Not to say they're good guys by any means - many will happily take out a prison guard for shits and giggles. But the ultimate kudos in higher security prisons is to take out a rapist or child abuser. They are the marked men.

Take out a rapist?! Half of them are rapists!

Endofyear · 02/01/2025 23:34

Good. I hope he's terrified every single day of his sentence behind bars, the evil bastard!

LeopardPants · 02/01/2025 23:34

AquaPeer · 02/01/2025 22:45

I don’t know about the rest of you but I’m not happy with prison officers indulging in criminal behaviour at work, which setting someone up to be assaulted and potentially murdered would be.

I’ll be honest in this case I’m not too upset about it. The more harm that comes to this piece of crap the better. I hope he suffers for the rest of his life.

Hyperfender · 02/01/2025 23:35

Sounds absolutely brutal and horrific. Yet nothing at all in comparison to what he put a young child through.

Well said
Children are suffering as we speak this helps no one.
Step in if you see a child being abused
Report
Many do - but many don't
These violent criminals were once kids
What sort of up bringing do you think they had?
Reform starts at ground level
Abuse begots abuse.

I dare say they did have a shit childhood and are repeating behaviours but they are adults and therefore have the power to stop the cycle. So I will reserve my pity for the children being abused and I will direct my hate at them or in this case him. I hope he suffers every single day for the rest of his pathetic life.

Yes, he knew help would come eventually. Not in Sara's case.

My heart bleeds.

Lollypop701 · 02/01/2025 23:36

Oh dear someone illegally punished him… but he’s not died, so he should be grateful really. Do they play cricket in prison?

LouisvilleSlugger · 02/01/2025 23:37

AquaPeer · 02/01/2025 22:40

I’m amazed this was allowed to happen. As much as I would like to see him bleed to death, we have to keep prisoners safe, and employ people to do so. On the face of it this could be a massive failing.

Hear, hear.

We don’t imprison people in the hope other low-lifes will mete out justice.

Carezzamia · 02/01/2025 23:37

AlexaSetATimer · 02/01/2025 23:16

I hope he's terrified, in pain and utterly miserable for the rest of his pathetic life.

Hear hear. Wishing the same for Arthur's murderers. Emma Tustin...

JHound · 02/01/2025 23:37

Oh, what a shame. Never mind.

dcbgr · 02/01/2025 23:38

There is a psychological and even philosophical difference between your regular low down criminal who robs and steals and is low-life and someone who commits the horror Sara's dad inflicted on her. I think the former can be redeemed and he is irredeemable - I would hate to see him subjected to extra-judicial execution but hope he walks in fear every day of his miserable life.

Ladybyrd · 02/01/2025 23:38

That's a pretty simplistic view, and no they aren't. Sex offenders are a special category of inmate, kept on a separate wing from the rest of the prison population, because they are a prime target for violence. Ian Brady. Ian Huntley. Many have to be isolated for much of the duration of the sentences, because the there is a long line of inmates just itching to get their hands on them. It is the ultimate badge.

Was this man abused as a child? I must have missed it.

Not that it excuses the sheer sadism in this case. Not every child who is abused goes on to be an abuser. No need to tar the unfortunate victims of child abuse with the same brush as this piece of scum.

foxandbee · 02/01/2025 23:40

Although I wish nothing good for this man, I think condoning what has happened is wrong. Imagine how terrifying it must be for all the other inmates to live in an environment like this. Criminals should not be allowed to mete justice out to other criminals.

TammyJones · 02/01/2025 23:41

Seems it's easier to hate the abuser than to protect the abused.
People protect the children.

swingandtrampoline · 02/01/2025 23:41

I hope this sends a clear message to all those child abusers.

JHound · 02/01/2025 23:42

Prisoners have a hierarchy. Those who harm children generally are not safe as they are seen as far worse that other types of criminal such as drug dealers or white collar criminals (for example).

OneZippyWasp · 02/01/2025 23:42

I hope he survives with his brain intact so he is haunted by what he did to Sara and to understand why he was attacked. He is a despicable human being and I pity anyone who has to be his carer because of his injuries.. He deserves to rot in hell.

BMW6 · 02/01/2025 23:43

I suspect that many of the people who are gloating about this attack are in favour of the death penalty and are pleased that they have a chance of getting the same result by other means.

TammyJones · 02/01/2025 23:43

swingandtrampoline · 02/01/2025 23:41

I hope this sends a clear message to all those child abusers.

But it won't
Not sure what the answer is but in real life people don't want to get involved.
They just go about their own business.
Hoping it'll go away.

Neetra30 · 02/01/2025 23:43

The f*er deserved it
Those prisoners deserve a medal.
I hope something similar happens to Benash too.
Poor Sara, can you imagine the pain, the horror and the agony she went through?
She was just a little girl. No child deserves that treatment from anybody let alone her parents.
May Sara's dad and Benash rot in hell
