Agree. Whilst I don’t have a shred of sympathy for him, I thought I’d read he would be in isolation for most of his sentence, or placed with others who have committed similar crimes, to avoid attacks. Prisons are obviously notorious for attacks from other prisoners on others who have committed crimes against children.

I think it's absolutely disgusting that prisoners are attacked and subject to assaults. I dislike the gleeful joy at this kind of thing. Prison should be above repute and a safe place without corruption.
And yes so should a child's home, two things can be true.
It's not just people 'we' think should be punished, inmates in for much lesser crimes are often assaulted - it's disgusting and a failure in a humane society.

Exactly this. Prison staff appear to do a reasonable job at keeping the thousands of other child abusers/ murders in prison relatively safe.

i get the impression people think prison is just him, rose west and a few other notorious wrong ins and the rest are a load of cheeky chappies who just robbed a few people or got in a few pub fights. Maybe dealt some cannabis. C’mon. He’s notorious, not unusual.

Child abusers and murderers are a breed apart in prison. They really are a target, the lowest of the low.

And they probably all get attacked, it's just we hear about it when the notorious ones are got to.

I can't tell if you mean what a pity this happened to him or whether it's a pity he's survived.
