@EasterIssland Yes. I see a few in the South. I can hardly believe there are enough of them to attend so many marches.

I'm in Sunderland, a few minutes from the city centre, and the police helicopter is still out. Hopefully the rain might send a few more packing. They are just racist, violent thugs who will jump at any excuse to cause mayhem. The only slight positive is that 99% of the comments on social media are condemning the rioters and are disgusted and ashamed at this behaviour.

And Laurence Fox. I came across his Twitter feed where he was celebrating the first riot and have checked it again in a kind of morbid fascination. It is intriguing in a disturbing way to see how he talks about Christianity and at the same time spews so much hatred! And he has tonnes of followers!

There’s a reason you don’t see riots in places like Oxford, Bath or York. Far right views are massively tied in with poverty, disadvantage etc - it’s been studied and is a fact.

The police get a terrible pasting on here (sometimes justified) but everyone of us should be grateful there are sons, husbands, daughters, wives and parents out there now having their workplaces set on fire and being pelted with bricks for not a huge wage trying to protect the rest of us.
