Awful case, what on earth was she thinking The poor baby, does anyone know what will happen to her?

Successfully applied for bail, why is a known rapist given bail, especially a rapist who broke their bail and abused another victim.

I know there is the possibility that people who murder the parent of their child also losing PR, I hope the starts to apply to rapists.

How very bizarre that her dad is happily waving to the press outside court.

I've been following this and thought it was strange she's been bailed twice but then I remembered a local case where a step dad had abused his step daughter over years and she had become pregnant at 14 and only came out about it 4 years later. He was also bailed on the plus side he got 25 years. I'm not convinced she will get a long sentence or even prison at all with being female 🙄

I doubt her dad was cheerfully waving to the press, more likely to be an ironic ‘just fuck off.’ I always feel really sorry for the families in those cases. I don’t know if she has any siblings but life will be difficult for them too.

@Simonjt she has not been charged with rape. That is a specific offence that involves forced or underage (statutory rape) penetration. Sorry to be pedantic but rape is a male crime (women can be convicted for rape but only as a joint enterprise with a male) Her offence is no less serious, but it is not rape.

She is going to prison. She has been convicted of sexual activity with a child. Under the sentencing guidelines, this is clearly category 1 culpability A (grooming behaviour, abuse of trust, significant age gap), so the starting point for sentencing is 5 years with a range of 4-10 years.

The only way she avoids prison is if the judge somehow decides to place the offence in culpability B despite the presence of several factors that make it culpability A, or the judge decides to step outside the sentencing guidelines. If the judge does either of those things, I would expect an appeal on the basis that the sentence is unduly lenient to succeed.

Yes, I'm aware of that, qualified in criminology and used to work along side defence solicitors but you would be amazing what women don't go to prison for far worse in these situations unfortunately! This is why i have been following everyday since the case started

She has already been in prison (Styal, 5 months) but then came out in Nov and gave birth to a baby girl in Jan. There were emergency care proceedings I think within 24 hours of the birth and the child was removed from her. I didn't know the baby was with Boy B's parents.

What a huge mess for all concerned. Having worked with teenagers for a long time I think it's really strange for anyone to want to have sexual activity with a child of 15. I can't really get my head around it. They are (for all the tough talk) so vulnerable, still so childish. Think it must be massive vanity and being able to have a sense of power. Like child abusers in general.

Yeah I'd seen she had been in styal. That's the weirdest prison I've ever been to when catching up with clients before court cases! Very very rough as well as they all most have a house to themselves rather then prison wings.

She's disgusting. Given that she only became a teacher in 2018 and within a couple of years she's groomed two 15 year olds, I think she planned this. She is a paedophile, sex offender and depraved on all levels.

That poor 16 year old boy who should have his whole life in front of him is now a dad, I'm not saying he doesn't love the baby but in Court it was said he didn't want it when she "surprised" him with notes and a babygrow saying she was pregnant. Now him and presumably his mother/dad/family are looking after this innocent child. A child born though sexual abuse of a child.

I reckon she'll get near on 10 years, be on the sex offenders register for life and I don't think she'll ever get parental responsibility for that poor, innocent child.

When she gets out she'll probably just work for her parent's cafe. At least she has that as a job to go to.

What will happen to her is she'll go on the Sex Offenders Register and to prison. Probably get her just desserts there too.

Like every other child sex abuser/paedophile, she'll get exactly was she deserves.

The dad is a known show off and full of himself. There's a couple of photos of him with his hand right near her chest which is weird.

What I don't get is, why didn't she have an abortion when she found out she was pregnant? Surely she could see that it was a bad idea all round to continue with the pregnancy?!?

Sounds like she has some psychological issues as definitely not normal behaviour to have sex with not just one, but two of your (underage) students.

Maybe she has been abused herself? Not excusing her behaviour as there is never any excuse. But just trying to understand why she did it.

After telling this boy they she was infertile due to PCOS, probably didn't use contraception. She's tricked him into becoming a dad.

That poor boy and his parents. If it was my boy I don't know how I could cope with all this. Hopefully counselling and help is being offered to the victims and their families.

To be abused, both of them, is bad enough. Boy A had a lucky escape, if you can call it that after being abused, and poor boy B is now a dad forever. How on earth do he and his parents cope? They must have hearts of gold to be looking after this baby girl going forward.

I've seen comments on social media from men that are absolutely disgusting saying how lucky these lads were.it makes me sick thinking this is how people actually feel towards victims of sexual abuse and grooming.

My abuse was carried out by a male but it led me to make some stupid choices like sleeping with a woman much older than me at the age of 17 yes it was consensual but I dint think I would have done that if my head had been messed up by the years of abuse.

I can't get my head around she didn't just do it the once she did it again whist on bail.i guess we will never understand but I hope the 2 boys get justice and receive the appropriate support

It's odd surely she's clever enough to train as a teacher. She must have some clue. Also it appears she was in a ltr with a man her own age.

She is absolutely disgusting and I hope she gets the lengthy prison sentence that she deserves. But nothing will undo the harm she has caused to those 2 young boys. What kind of wacko tricks an underage boy into becoming a dad.

I also thought it was sickening how she tucked the baby's bonnet into her trousers on each court appearance. Why not hold it? Or better still, don't bring it at all?
