She does look a bit different. But at least she's out and about.

So we are supposed to believe Kate looked so poorly that she had to edit a Mothers Day photo to look well. But that shortly after she appeared at Windsor Farm Shop looking sprightly and years younger than before her operation?
FWIW, ie nothing ,I think she didn't want to appear in the Mothers Day photo hence the editing .
She's now yielded to pressure and has staged the photo in car and farm shop photo .
William (or Kate ) don't want to go relinquish the original plan of being out of sight until Easter or after Easter and so are allowing these vague ,staged shots .

What are the decorations on the sheds?

A lot of people seem to think they're Christmas decorations....and in the windows of the building behind too.

You do realise that when the picture was saved means nothing right?

I've got pictures from 10 years ago with a save date of last year.

No one is saying the fake photo is a constitutional crisis, but that it's extremely concerning that KP sent an image to the world's media agencies that was fake. They've opened themselves to ridicule and every photo submitted in future will be regarded with suspicion.

Kate has had extensive media training, she should have been advised that this was a massive faux pas.

As did the queen, and every other celeb on the planet/

And a lot of people have verified the decorations are still there!

ThisGreyPoster · 19/03/2024 13:19

@Freakinfraser I am not convinced it is Kate. But the woman looks young. You never see the texture of Kate's skin anyway due to make up. A decent foundation sorts skin texture.

Stopandlook · 19/03/2024 13:20

Of course it’s her. When she resumes public life in a couple of weeks all this conspiracy will seem a bit of foolish entertainment.

It all just shows to me how the monarchy is outdated and women should be allowed to heal in peace 🤷‍♀️

Quartz2208 · 19/03/2024 13:20

But they are very much not a normal couple juggling kids are they. Like at all. They have a whole lot of paid help and apparently William feels a job he can put on the back burner to support her and it all be ok. Plus access to the best and constant medical care.

and the Mother’s Day photo she produced is about as far from any normal family photo I have ever seen, the weird desire to constantly have George laugh like life is amazing. He is the same year as my son and he certainly would not laugh like that in a photo (or want to pose) or indeed be ok with everything that is going on.

GoonieGang · 19/03/2024 13:21

Amazed at how many people are losing their minds over a poorly photoshopped picture and now ‘that’s not Kate’
It’s on the level of the initial Meghan bashing. Although she keeps digging the hole deeper.

They can tell when the pic was taken on the Friday night, the date and time and the make of camera and the lens, this has been well publicised. And the same will have been done with the video. They will know the type of phone, when, where etc,

TheFancyPoet · 19/03/2024 13:23

I am honestly in shock how much people on this thread really seem to want Kate, dead, abducted, mentally ill or abducted. Why???? If it is her, why that bothers you so much

No, they can tell when the picture was SAVED in Adobe for photoshopping.

They can’t tell when it was TAKEN.

The misinformation on this thread is insane.

How does she look years younger? How can you even tell at that distance?

But yeah, I have absolutely no issue believing that she edited a Mother's Day photo to what she believe to be the best version of her/ the kids looking nice, and then 10 days or so later went to a shop. Those two things do not appear to be mutually exclusive.

Maybe she was still taking medication on photo day or the effects hadn't worn off quite yet but have now, maybe she'd slept really poorly the past few nights, maybe she had a massive spot that day. Maybe she looked fine but she liked the picture of her better in one image, and the picture of her kids better in another.

Then over a week later, she went for a short walk to a farm shop and carried a bag that could have contained 2 spring onions and a few lettuce leaves for all we know.

Plus which way do all the deniers want it - firstly it can't possibly that she's recovering from surgery because 'I had the exact same surgery that I've decided she's had based on no evidence, and all my limbs amputated to boot, and I was back at work by lunchtime', but now all of a sudden it can't possibly be that she was recovering from surgery because she's able to walk a few yards.

VimtoVimto · 19/03/2024 13:27

Has anyone put forward the theory that Kate has been replaced with Rose Hanbury who has had intensive plastic surgery to make her look like Kate. The original Princess of Wales having been abducted by aliens.

No less batshit than many of the theories.

FloofyBird · 19/03/2024 13:28

So is there an actual announcement coming or was that definitely just a rumour? Sky news have a live blog going on the RF now!

martellotower · 19/03/2024 13:28

@AliasGrape
the metadata shows it was taken at their home, and saved a day or two before Mother's Day
I don't know if "saving" a photo on a certain date means that is when it was taken or whether it's just the day an edit was saved .
But I've not been able to find anything on line in the articles looking atr the meta data that confirms the date when the photo was first taken .The articles say the opposite - that the data doesn't show the date it was taken .
I'm not trying to be goady and if anyone has a link or explanation that would be great .

Why do you all care??!

get a life people!! 😀

I care! Not so much about Kate, I mean, I hope she's recovering well and is going to be fine but I have the same concern for her that I would any other woman going through an illness.

However I REALLY care that the establishment are involved in gaslighting the public with ridiculous cryptic photos, leading to their integrity being likened to North Korea and Iran over the last week. In a world of AI and deep-fakes we SHOULD be able to trust information they put out.

There should be no room for conspiracies - they've created this circus!

I hope Kate continues to recover - I don't believe any of this is her doing, including that ridiculous apology 'she' put on their insta. It stinks of establishment arrogance - people who don't think they're accountable and the serfs should just lap up whatever lie they produce. It's like they have zero knowledge of social media - fascinating to witness really.

I don’t care about one photoshopped pic, I really don’t and I can fully see the temptation.

CaramelMac · 19/03/2024 13:31

Yes, but she’s been all over the papers for the last week with rumours of her ‘missing’ ‘dead’ or ‘abducted by aliens’ so if I saw her walking through a car park you can bet your bottom dollar I’d be standing there with my head swivelled and jaw on the floor! Yet she walks past tables full of people who just carry on what they’re doing without even a double take.

lemmein · 19/03/2024 13:33

So this Nelson Silva character who just happens to be a 'videographer' and digital media specialist according to LinkedIn, has worked at Lego for three years and prior to that (after his company was dissolved) worked at a chicken shop, as a handyman for a council, and in 'traffic management' in Portugal., Well, all sounds very above board to me.

You'd think he'd have access to a better camera 🙃

Freakinfraser · 19/03/2024 13:33

I do wonder what’s madder, that bill gates was micro chipping rhe population or that Kensington palace have hired body doubles to go down the Windsor farm shop and buy some bread.

What temptation though? It's not as though she's just uploading stuff to insta without thinking. There's a whole team involved in everything they do. Whatever the reason for the editing, it was deliberate and they assumed nobody would notice or care. At best it's unethical, at worst they're hiding something significant - and I don't think that's acceptable for a family with such power and influence.

Freakinfraser · 19/03/2024 13:35

Because they are not looking. They are engrossed in their own activities. And do not expect them to be there.

Gymnoob · 19/03/2024 13:35

I’m super ill right now so I look like shit and do not want to look in the mirror 😭

But I do know my face looks different all the time. Sometimes blobby jawed triple chined, sometimes looking snatched and quite alright. Even minutes apart in people’s photos of me. Let alone over days. Does no one else have that? Or do you always look the same 🧐

lemmein · 19/03/2024 13:36

@Freakinfraser fair enough, I do. Kill notices are very, very rare - that photo wasn't simply touched up - it was manipulated to the point of misrepresentation. That's not ok.

moonfacer · 19/03/2024 13:16

Sure - but the kids appear to be broadly the right ages so it's not from 10 years ago.

I don't believe it's a 'fake image' - I think that the photo was taken reasonably recently and released for Mother's Day, and that it is exactly what it purports to be - a picture of Kate and her children.

I also believe it was edited/ tinkered with to get it to what Kate/ whoever else was involved in its release believed to be the best version. By all accounts this wasn't done particularly well. But I pretty much assume that ALL photos I see in this context (publicity/ PR etc) have been edited or 'improved'.

Yes it's dishonest in the sense of trying to portray a falsely perfect image - but that's the world we live in. You can't be on the one hand getting your microscope out to pore over every minute detail of every photo of the woman - she looks older/ younger/ fatter/ thinner/ more like her sister/ she's really aged terribly/ she's not wearing her ring/ her kids look miserable/ the brickwork doesn't match/ there's Christmas decorations in the background etc etc. And then act shocked that they might manipulate the images they themselves put out.

But yes, I agree it was poorly done and misjudged in the sense that it only fanned the flames and will subject them to even further scrutiny.
