The photo looks like she's lost a lot of weight recently and has been ill... and is plastering on a smile for the people trying to take a photo of her.

So... fits entirely with the truth that she's been on sick leave from Royal duties and doesn't want people to hound her when she recovers but is aware of the interest in her.

She was already very thin before she took time off, so if she's even thinner, she probably doesn't have the energy to work and quite rightly needs some time to herself to heal.

If it is Kate in the video shopping, why couldn't she have made a short video for the St Patrick's celebrations for the Irish Guards? She's their Colonel or something.

I really hope that it isn't anything terribly sad about Kate but if it is then I genuinely think that the palace would have been better issuing a statement alluding to her condition being serious and asking for privacy. They wouldn't have to provide details but this would be enough for the public to understand that they need to give her the time and space she needs to recover and that there isn't anything scandalous going on.

Gave us information that she was getting Abdominal Surgery, said it wasn't cancer, gave us a time line for her being back to work, alluded to the fact it was major - due to the length of time she was expected to be out of commission, - so it WAS clear that whatever was wrong, it was a major operation. They also asked for privacy. Yet here we are with all the speculation........

She was always this thin, if it is her, the major difference is her jawline which might have changed if she's had a facelift.

Jesus Christ, it's been a depressing few weeks seeing how dim people really are. Seems like no one can just accept the mundane can they? Woman has major surgery and needs a few months to recover, honestly how hard is that to comprehend??

Lots of people look something like her. There are people who make money off looking like her. It's all very wierd and I'm trying to fall down the rabbit hole but I'm also not buying the " they said it's her so it must be"

I'm still not clear what everybody thinks is happening, or what the 'lie' is that we're being told?

Is the thinking that Kate is either desperately ill/dying/dead or that she's done a bunk, or is refusing or unable to leave the house for some reason and so in order to keep the public happy (for... some reason that I'm not clear about), the palace are photoshopping pictures, hiring body doubles to ride around in cars and/or walk around farm shops? But despite their access to the best expertise money can buy, can't get anyone to do a good enough job of it to actually fool people? Or the people on Twitter/Tik Tok are such amazing sleuths that they've managed to spot that its all fake despite the palace using their best photoshop expert/body double people?

But in very recent Facebook photos of the farm shop there is no fair lights or tinsel or decorations of any kind. They are not there from 27th of January onwards. It’s now March.

It is funny how nobody who saw them at the farm shop has come out and said it wasn’t them. But so many people who were not there and are looking at a shit still image say it most definitely wasn’t.

Presumably because she's off work sick until Easter? And just like anyone else who's off work sick, she is able to go outside of her house occasionally to aid with recovery but isn't expected to do any of her job until she's recovered and back at work? When you're signed off sick after an operation, would your work still expect you to create pieces of content for them?

Why on earth would she be ‘off work’ if she is springing around farm shops beaming and healthy and super well? She isn’t a labourer or a scaffolder - she could be easily hold a few zoom calls and offer an interview.

I hardly think a short video is onerous work for her.

I quite often leave my phone in the car. I even sometimes leave it at home! We are not all sad enough to be glued to our phones

Good lord. It just gets worse. She’s allowed recovery time and she is allowed out during that time. She doesn’t need to be locked up and if she can go out for half an hour straight back to work. What’s wrong with you.

Peoples live are so sad that they're desperate for a public figure with a seemingly good life and supportive family to fall from grace, posters on MN are practically relishing and salivating about this because it makes them feel better about themselves and their lives. People are going to feel rather silly when Kate returns...
