She does look a bit different. But at least she's out and about.

But all of the 3 Kates we have seen in the past 3 weeks look.... different.
Well, yes. The one in the car was 2 weeks ago when she may have still been puffy from medication; it was also long-distance in a moving vehicle. Then there was the infamous photoshopped photo; most people look different in a staged shot with makeup, and photoshop, than a candid or paparazzi photo. Then the back of her head in a car, which I would hope looks different from the front of her head. And now the farm shop where she’s thinner than usual, which affects your face, not wearing makeup like the Mother’s Day pic, not wearing sunglasses like the first car pic, and who knows in terms of medication, side effects, whatever.

I just don't know why we can't have a little photoshoot of her reading some cards saying thank you for your kind wishes.
I refer, for the 80,000th time, to the KP statement saying she wouldn’t be back to duties until after Easter. Reading cards and thanking the fawning weirdos isn’t onerous work but it definitely falls under those duties.

Okay yes that’s definitely Kate, despite it looking nothing like her, yes she definitely wasn’t photoshopped on the Mother’s Day photo KP must be lying about that apology and they are in no way misleading the country contrary to speculation - it’s all the crazies fault this has happened. I honestly don't think it's any more than her recovering from the surgery KP said she was having. For instance, if she had a stoma fitted after major gastrointestinal surgery, which is one of the procedures people think she might have had, it's not just a case of recovering from the actual surgery. There is a mental toll involved too, of having such a life-altering procedure, even if it's just temporary fix after a bowel resection. I have a friend with Crohn's who needed one for a few months and it was mentally debilitating for her.

I agree with posters saying that this circus should stop. If Kate is well enough to be out and about, she can do a short video reassuring everyone she's well and will resume her institutional functions when she's 100%. No grainy images or pictures taken looking at a wall, just a 2 min video taken by her husband without any type of editing would be enough.

The reputation of Kensington Palace as a reputable source for images has been compromised and the longer this circus continues, the damage to the RF will get worst until there is real transparency. As it is, Getty Images has made a statement regarding the last picture of the Queen with all her grandchildren, saying "on review, the picture was manipulated at the source".

It piles up on the issue of reputable agencies no longer trusting royal source with their pictures.

I don't know, I'll email my friend to ask! But Adele Roberts from Radio 1 was up and about really quickly after hers was fitted and she had chemo too. Kate's very active and fit so it's feasible that two months on she can walk as normal. But that's IF she's had a stoma. It could be any kind of abdominal surgery, that's the point.

Why would they bother with lookie likies, knowing that fantasists all over the world will be poring over every detail? Especially after the mother's day photo fiasco.

Even the story from the man who claims to have taken it doesn't make sense. He says he spotted them in the bread aisle then went out to his car to retrieve his phone to take it. Who leaves their phone in the car? He even said he thought to himself 'it LOOKS like them'. Not, 'that's them'.

The reason the photos are only from so far away is because people close up could see that it definitely wasn't them.

Why on earth would they engage with this? The palaces don’t generally confirm every single pap shot or random member of the public taking a picture or tabloid stories.

Well, when one of the largest photo agencies in the world states that Kensington Palace is no longer a trusted source no wonder people are wondering. Especially as the woman in the photo is much taller than Kate in comparison to 'William'

On the little wooden booths. I noticed that but to be fair they may not be Christmas decs, or they may just not have got taken down.

If you look at the photos in The Sun, the decorations around the wooden huts are clearly fairy lights (unlit). Our farm shop has similar wooden huts where you can sit and are attractively decorated with fairy lights which come on when dark.

It's quite common to "tart" this style of hut up with fairy lights. There is also bunting strung in other areas.
