ofwarren · 09/02/2023 19:35

These threads are to discuss the disappearance of Nicola Bulley from St Michael's on Wyre.

No speculation without evidence please.

Here are some frequently asked questions, with answers:

1.Where do Nicola and her husband work?

They both work from home which is why he was at home on the day she went missing.

2.Where was the dog harness found / the phone?

Dog harness was found near the river edge not the bench, phone was on on/near the bench.

  1. Has the river been searched?

Yes by the police and volunteers from the Specialist Search team

  1. Had the dog been in the water, and maybe Ms Bulley went in after her?

Willow appeared distressed but ‘bone dry’, according to the woman who found her. There was no sign of her having gone in the river.

  1. Why would she leave her phone on the bench?

Nicola’s phone was found on the bench, still connected to a conference call. So whatever happened, there was no time to end the call or to alert others on the call.

  1. Why was she on mute with no video for her business meeting?

This was not unusual, She used to go on work meeting calls with video off and microphone

  1. Where was her partner while she was out walking their dog?

He was at home at the time.

  1. What about this abandoned house?

Its not abandoned. Its owned by a lovely family who have lived in the village for generations and would do anything they can to help in the search for Nikki.
It has been searched, inside and outside, from top to bottom by the police. This has been clarified with the family themselves and also with the police.
They have never refused entry to the police or told them they need a warrant to search.

  1. Did Nicola have a dog ball with her?

No she didn’t she used to but stopped taking a dog ball on walks.

  1. Was she swept out to sea?

The police Seargent has said it’s now a possibility Nicola’s body could have drifted out to sea.

  1. We’re CCTV cameras working in the area:

The CCTV camera which would have captured everything unfortunately wasn’t working. But the police are actively working to identify 700 motorists travelling in the Garstang Road area on the 27TH of January.

  1. Are there any other paths she could have gone down?

Apart from the river, there are only three exits, two of which are covered by CCTV. On her way in, she was seen by several people. No one saw her leave.

It is easy in life to follow a herd, in this case the majority decision of what happened, than to be brave and give an opinion against the narrative? PF seems to be giving his professional opinion, it would be far easier for him to have agreed with Lancs police yet he does not.

"Its not impossible to lie low at a mates house for months, or to live on the streets when nobody is looking for you. It is impossible to build a new life in this country when you've been the focus of such intense media scrutiny, and its impossible to live at someones house forever never going out. It defies any logic why someone would do that, nothing to do with what I would or wouldn't do. "

@SueG60 maybe she didn't expect to get so much media coverage? People have went missing in the past, some in a similar way and weren't in the spotlight this much. So maybe she didn't account for it when she was planning her disappearance...

Re. going abroad, anyone who has travelled on the eurotunnel or a ferry will know that car checks, boot or inside of van are extremely rare.

It is very easy to get abroad unnoticed if that is what you want to do. You would need to be assisted.

are you sure they don't have body heat sensors or anything to avoid having to open them all up and have a look?

If it was that easy why do people bother to come here on small boats instead of just hitching a ride in the back of a van

My friends Dad was out walking his dog, stopped to chat to someone , they said their goodbyes, person he was talking to said friends Dad only took a couple of steps and collapsed. Dr later told family he was dead before he hit the ground, he was in his 40s, no previous health issues, was just his normal self according to last person he spoke to. Incidents like this are not uncommon, l think she suffered a health issue and then fell into the river, she could have been chasing dog.

Exactly. Look at the case of missing Denise Jarvis who is also very attractive, blonde and a similar age to Nicola and she has not received that much publicity at all.

@Oaktree55 So continue to focus on discrediting PF. Ultimately, it will only be Lancashire Police who will be judged on their performance throughout this investigation.

I’ve seen a couple of comments and questions on this post about the man finding the phone. Is this definitely true as I’ve seen no other mention of this anywhere else and seems to have been skimmed over on here.

Isnt it odd that he picked a phone up connected to a call but didn’t think anything off it, where was the dog / lead / harness at this point?

If this phone was connected, I assume it was unlocked. Wouldn’t he have tried to notify someone he has found the phone?

Oaktree55 · 09/02/2023 21:19

Again all this says is keep an open mind which Police say they are. No experts have said “impossible to drown, impossible to go over weir, impossible for body to go to sea etc” because it’s not true it’s all v possible hence the investigation.

Zosime · 09/02/2023 21:19

That makes. the assumption that the Police maintain an active missing persons search.

I would think that one of the first things they'd do would be to check her phone records to see if she'd arranged to meet anyone that morning, even if it was just to find out when and where that person left her. They'd see if there were any calls or messages that didn't fit with her known lifestyle.

But yes, if it does transpire that she left of her own free will, the public have no right to know it.

Crumpetdisappointment · 09/02/2023 21:20

police dont normally start searchingfor a good few hours surely?

dawngreen · 09/02/2023 21:21

It would hardly get wet chasing in a field. I am not talking about a dog foaming at the mouth chasing cows for ages. Just enough to make her race to get the dog out, and end up getting kicked in the head @DerangedViper

Fair point, but if she was just doing a runner from her family, why go to the lengths of taking the dog out and leaving him there in a field on his own. Why not just go off to wherever she was going directly.

There's just far more holes in that hypothesis than the police's fell in the river one, or the third party foul play one.

lifeturnsonadime · 09/02/2023 21:22

Fairly sure they don't have those in the passenger lane. Probably do in the freight.

But if someone can correct me on that please do.

I would assume if she has done this of her own free will with the plan to leave the phone behind she would have used another non registered PAYG sim to make any plans.

dawngreen · 09/02/2023 21:23

It just sounds more likely then the axe man from the empty builds

melonraspberry · 09/02/2023 21:23

Her FB is covered with family pics and loads of her with her kids, there’s no way she will have deliberately walked away from them, I just don’t believe it. It’s either an accident or an abduction. Her sister has made it clear there is no evidence for her being in the water, it’s just a theory the police have , and Peter Faulding made absolute sense that it wasn’t possible .

EpicChaos · 09/02/2023 21:24

" Regardless of being recognised, it's virtually impossible these days to live any kind of normal life in the UK without ID - bank account, job, somewhere to live. Without ID, you'd have to be totally reliant on someone else. "

The daughter of an old lady i used to know, moved back from the US following the death of her husband and despite being a Brit, having lived in the states for a number of years, she had no credit rating - couldn't get a mortgage so had to pay cash for her house. Couldn't get a landline/tv services installed, etc. She had to build up a credit rating/identity over a number of months before she could live properly, lucky for her she had the money to buy her house etc.

dawngreen · 09/02/2023 21:25

If she never left the area she either drowned, or still in the grounds for some reason.

I don’t care 🤣 but if I take my car to five garages and they all tell me the same things wrong except one garage who gives a totally different opinion who do I believe?!?

Sadless · 09/02/2023 21:27

Crumpetdisappointment · 09/02/2023 21:11

why on earth is your son there @Sadless

Because he's stupid he must be with others in a car. He said it's stupid how many people are there but then he's there. He said he left now.

Sal

SoTedious · 09/02/2023 21:27

You need to explain why you think she would want to disappear from her family, her well paid job and what her long term plan would be for starting a new life given the whole country now knows who she is. Otherwise there's no logic to what you're saying.

Firstly, how do you know how much she earns?

Secondly, how would she have foreseen that the whole country would know who she is? People go missing all the time with hardly a ripple beyond their immediate circle.

There's also no motive - if she'd done that it would make it sound like canoe man, but he had life insurance and his wife was in on it.

How do you know there's no motive and and/or no life insurance?

Posts earlier in this thread state that a man picked up the phone and placed it on the bench, it was then later found by the woman along with the dog. I’ll see if I can go back over the posts and find it.

Forgot to say he doesn't live at home and asked daughter if he had put anything on Snapchat but he hasn't
