She died in a car crash didnt she?

Why on earth are we wasting loads of money on this?

Oh, it's dire, isn't it? I'm doing my best to avoid it, but it's everywhere. Headline I saw yesterday - Diana prefered dark haired men. WTF????

It's demeaning and scurrulous, and the plug needs to be pulled directly. Dreadful waste of money.

tiredemma · 17/01/2008 12:29

I thought that and wanted to ask the same thing on here. I asked it at work the other night and was ostracised for even having the gall to ask this.
They all love 'Lady Di' and are still in mourning.

Will watch this thread wit interest

clumsymum · 17/01/2008 12:29

Because some guy from egypt thinks that his son's relationship with her was sooo important that the secret services had the time, resources and energy to murder them both.

To my mind, he should be footing the bill for this.

bundle · 17/01/2008 12:30

the only conspiracy in this is the one the redtops have created to keep their hacks off the streets during the cold/wet weather ie in the neverending inquest

mcnoodle · 17/01/2008 12:32

Because Diana was very wise and spiritual and everything, and she used her special powers to 'know' that the Queen was going to abdicate.

But the Queen didn't abdicate.

Which is nice.

clumsymum · 17/01/2008 12:32

Actually all this is doing is bringing certain flaws in her behaviour into the public domain, and making it clear that the man who died with her was NOT in the frame for marriage.

MrsArchieTheInventor · 17/01/2008 12:32

I had to smile that she was bumped off the front page of today's Daily Express by Kevin Keegan's return to Newcastle!

OrmIrian · 17/01/2008 12:32

Because there hasn't been enough of a media circus already?

Enid · 17/01/2008 12:33

I DONT CARE ABOUT IT

PLEASE MAKE IT GO AWAY

Princess 'Queen of Hearts' Di was also taking the pill.

Her spiritual healer has stood in front of the Crown and declared it to be true.

I for one am riveted by the news.

How can you be so heartless?

PrincessPeahead · 17/01/2008 12:39

there is no point
it is NONSENSE

expensive nonsense

bundle · 17/01/2008 12:42

maybe Keegan is the new Queen of Our Hearts

TsarChasm · 17/01/2008 12:43

Awful isn't it? Then that creepy dodgy butler gets wheeled out again .

If (and it's a huge highly unlikey if) there was any truth in the 'she were done in' conspiracy theory, a million enquiries would never prove a thing in a million years.

beansprout · 17/01/2008 12:43

If Newcastle start to do well, he might be bumped off.

beansprout · 17/01/2008 12:44

So, if the inquest concludes that it was just a car crash (what are the chances?!!), all the conspiracy theorists will just say, "but of course, thanks for proving that once and for all..."

mcnoodle · 17/01/2008 12:45

It may interest you to know that we are not currently using any contraception. However, I think the Queen may take a long holiday in Australia sometime soon.

sfxmum · 17/01/2008 12:45

I resent this nonsense mostly because I found myself in complete agreement with Max Hastings on Newsnight yesterday.
I am still recovering from the shock

bundle · 17/01/2008 12:45

actually TsarChasm (great name) Burrell's humiliation has been the one positive thing to come out of the inquest

TsarChasm · 17/01/2008 12:46

You have a point!

clumsymum · 17/01/2008 12:47

That's it beansprout. when the findings show it was an accident (or misadventure) then they'll all insist it's still a conspiracy.

Tommy · 17/01/2008 12:48

Al Fayed won't accept the verdict unless it proves him right. This will carry on forever. He is a greif stricken man who can't accept that it was someone in his employ that killed his son and Diana. - so he has to blame someone else.

On Newsnight last night they called it a pantomime - but I think it's got worse than that. It's turning into a farce

clumsymum · 17/01/2008 12:49

I really think the man who insisted on this circus should be asked to meet the costs.

petunia · 17/01/2008 12:54

Because none of the other inquests have come up with the "right" answer for Al-Fayed (that it was Prince Philip/MI5 etc), so he has to carry on with his "truth". He also can't accept that a drunk employee of his, killed his Son and the mother of our future King.

WendyWeber · 17/01/2008 12:57

Burrell was always creepy but I was really that he made handwritten copies of her letters!

So that was interesting....

That fact probably won't emerge in the US though so he can go on making pots of money over there
