Well dome Fran

ElfPolarBear · 28/12/2007 09:06

Why do they do this? Have heard it on local news but can't find the story on their site or bbc.

SS make me really cross

I have friend who had her DS taken off her because he developed CP after being born at 24 weeks - they said my firned and her DH must have done something to cause it. However, they left thier DD in their care so they coyuldn't havebeen that concerned about the children.

It took them 4 long years to get him back hiome.

And yet, I have taught kids that SS have lonmg since given up on, even th9ough they re being badly abused or neglected.

I am glad there is a happy (and right IMHO) outcome to this case

Fran, I hope you enjoy every minute of your time with your duaghetr - you deserve it

here

ElfPolarBear · 28/12/2007 09:15

sorry, "they" referred to the media in my second post!
Am not criticising SS as I feel in most cases they do a good job and most are dedicated and genuinely care, but I do feel something has gone wrong in this case (but has been attempted to be put right now if the 30 second clip I heard on the news is correct)

I jist got on my soapbox. I need no encouragement for this

ElfPolarBear · 28/12/2007 09:20

My god, common sense wins out

All the best Fran and Molly

LaDiDancesroundtheXmastree · 28/12/2007 09:26

Good news. Hope they have a Happy New Year.

goingfor3christmaspuddings · 28/12/2007 09:29

That's great news but I feel so sorry for her having to uproot and that she feels she can't come back. Good luck Fran.

edam · 28/12/2007 09:31

Hurrah! But what a f*cking tragedy that they went to such ludicrous extremes in the first place.

Hope this news helps Fran feel a bit less harried in the run-up to the birth.

Fran, if you are lurking, wishing you and Molly all the very, very best.

Ledodgy · 28/12/2007 09:43

Brilliant news! I wish Fran and Molly lots of love, luck and best wishes for the future.

I'm fecking furious that she's been put through all this for nothing-imagine the stress if she'd stayed then a week before she was due "oh yes you're ok after all"

Grrrr don't get me started again!!

WideWebWitch · 28/12/2007 10:50

I'm very pleased to see this. I wouldn't come back either if I was her.

bossybritches · 28/12/2007 10:57

Indeed www!

wheresthehamster · 28/12/2007 10:58

Great news. Thanks for the link.

donnie · 28/12/2007 11:19

thank God for that. How awful to have put her through this ordeal in the first place though.

lucy5 · 28/12/2007 12:55

Fantastic news! Lets hope Fran can now get some peace.

MerryPIFFLEmas · 28/12/2007 12:57

Fucking overjoyed
A gazillion million congrats to Fran and Molly.
Really well done and thank god for common sense prevailing

Molly it's safe to come out now!!!!

fryalot · 28/12/2007 12:59

tis fantastic news.

But the whole bloody thing shouldn't have happened in the first place. Fran should not have been hounded out of her home, her job, her fucking country fgs!

Wishing Fran all the very, very best for her and Molly - so pleased that common sense has won out, but still quite pissed off and concerned that it hasn't been in evidence for the last four months or so.

Thank god for that.

Sad to say, but I think it would be madness for Fran to return to the UK for at least the next two years.

I would not trust those social workers an inch. I fear that if Fran did return that Molly would be put on the child protection register and be a risk at being taken into care before Fran and Molly have got off the plane.
