I found this on the web to do with the case of Madeleine McCann and it's just a bit odd....

This is just for anyone who's interested in the case - please no arguing and no FGS comments - although you've got to admit that this is a bit odd.
Remember the picture of Gerry McCann playing with the children in a playground on their holiday and there was a bald guy with sunglasses in the background? the picture quickly disappeared presumably because they can't divulge any information about the case. Well, the same guy is also pictured a few days later with Robert Murat bp1.blogger.com/_mXbRBcSh0gs/RrSuZMNvt9I/AAAAAAAAAvw/6pppYaufzR8/s1600-h/01_FOTO_ARTIGO.jpg

I have seen this before on another sight, I wonder if the police have done a face recognision thing to see if it is the same person.

alycat · 25/08/2007 22:53

What a lovely picture of a happy dad and kids

Is this whey they asked everyone who had been in the area around the time to send in a copy of their holiday pics.

quadrophenia · 25/08/2007 22:54

I am wierdly passive about this case but yes that seems odd, hoever its about hw it seems and what it is that is in question.

littlemissbossy · 25/08/2007 22:54

yes, this was the photo the mccanns released at the time but it quickly disappeared from the press

Shouldn´t you send this note to the police? You never know and there is probably nothing to loose about it.

pastapestofor6 · 25/08/2007 23:13

gosh thats a bit strange isnt it, he is so focused on the mccann family in the first pic too
hmmmmm tres strange

littlemissbossy · 25/08/2007 23:14

surely they've picked this up??

chikenmother · 25/08/2007 23:17

Police can´t see everithing in the net. I think you should send it to them. Can´t hurt.

Rachmumoftwo · 25/08/2007 23:17

I would pass this on, as you never know, and sometimes the things staring you in the face can be the things overlooked. And if the media is to be beleived, a lot of things have been overlooked at the beginning of this investigation.

OP posts:
twocutedarlings · 25/08/2007 23:52

You certainly would have hoped so.

Like i said i would sent this photo to them if i knew how.

without sounding thick (not that i care lol) do you know how to send it, if you do then just send it you never know.

if you dont then let me know and i will find out how to.

pastapestofor6 · 25/08/2007 23:55

aimsmum why shouldnt people send things to the police if it could help?
i dont understand the need to be so negative everytime this topic is mentioned

littlemissbossy · 25/08/2007 23:57

I've sent it to the team at the official madeleine website
I'm sure they've seen it already though

And tell us again, how was this crime solved...???

An e-mail, from a Mumsnetter well goodness me how amazing is that....

twocutedarlings · 26/08/2007 00:06

What that ment to mean breevan ??

Im sure that they would rather information be sent a 100 times than not atall.

I have sent it there too littlemiss

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 26/08/2007 00:08

It means they may operate in a different way to the english police, but they are not the keystone cops.

twocutedarlings · 26/08/2007 00:12

Yes i fully agree with you, however i will sleep easier knowing that this picture has passed on, littlemiss is no doubt right that the police will have seen it, but like chikenmother said they will not be able to look at everything on the net.
