So Prince William dropped a massive hint saying the baby he wouldn't rule out Prince Alexander, reckon the baby will be called that or is he just releasing a red herring?

Fab name my oldest ds name !

glasshalffull2018 · 25/04/2018 18:43

It sounds like a good name, I would prefer Arthur or James or Albert but I do like the name :)

Rainydaydog · 25/04/2018 18:44

I don't think it will be as that is one of George's middle names.

glasshalffull2018 · 25/04/2018 18:44

Is it? I didn’t know that!

Littlelambpeep · 25/04/2018 18:47

I really hope theytell us soon (so nosey)

I think it is going to be Philip and she will have her dad's name in their somewhere.

Not keen on Arthur really

Dumbledoresgirl · 25/04/2018 18:48

It is one of George's middle names, but one thing I found out the other day that means it isn't ruled out on those grounds alone is that one of Andrew's middle names is Edward. So if the Queen can use a name twice, I suppose Will and Kate could too.

flowermug2 · 25/04/2018 18:52

Maybe... Alfred (Albert & Frederick) James Philip/Philip James.
Or... Arthur Francis Philip

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 25/04/2018 18:57

Well I’m going with Frederick on this one seeing that George & Charlotte are both from the Hanoverian period.
I still like Ferdinand & Christian.
I think they’ll throw in a Philip or/& Michael too.
Or perhaps K&W will throw a curveball & call the baby Zane or Liam Smile

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 25/04/2018 18:58

Zane & Liam being perfectly acceptable boys names btw.

AuntieStella · 25/04/2018 18:58

Someone's reported a private conversation (with Aussie HUgh Commissioner, who is called Alexander). He mightjust have been being polite.

It's not really news, even though ANZAC Day dawn celebrations did get reported in this year, which it doesn't usually. And I think that was nice to see.

Dumbledoresgirl · 25/04/2018 18:59

I am hoping for something left field like Zara was in her day..

How about Rafferty?

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 25/04/2018 19:01

'Prince Rafferty' Grin yeh right

wizzywig · 25/04/2018 19:01

Isn't that peppa pigs cousins name?

Twinkie1 · 25/04/2018 19:05

You do realise he can't be called Prince Albert don't you whoever mentioned it up post.

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 25/04/2018 19:06

what is wrong with Prince Albert Twinkie? Grin

123MothergotafleA · 25/04/2018 19:08

I think Philip Michael would be very appropriate actually. So long as they don't call him Kai or Josh, I will be happy.

glasshalffull2018 · 25/04/2018 19:13

Are you seriously still insisting that the baby can't be called Albert cause of the piercing?

OP posts:
FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 25/04/2018 19:15

well tbh glasshalfull, a Prince Albert has been known to be a dick piercing for a very very long time...
I am quite sure that William and Kate are aware of that and would have no desire to call their child this.

swingsandmusic · 25/04/2018 19:16

I think the new baby looks like a Sam. Prince Sam would be ace. It is not too out there, but is different from the usual George, Albert, Frederick etc.

I realize the Royal family do not usually use Biblical names, but Sam popped into my head when I saw his wee face on the front of the newspaper.

LondonJax · 25/04/2018 19:16

He also said they were considering Jerry (he'd just met the New Zealand high commissioner who is called Jerry).

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 25/04/2018 19:17

No it’ll not be Alexander as it’s already used as George middle name
It’s a bit odd to recycle a middle name as next child forename

MuddyForestWalks · 25/04/2018 19:18

I have a Sam. If they call him Sam I will be Shock

MuddyForestWalks · 25/04/2018 19:19

lipstick I am sure I know a family whose boys are named something like George Henry and Henry George.

SmartyPants0 · 25/04/2018 19:19

I'm also thinking it will have Philips in there somewhere and Frances as it's Kates Dad's middle name and also Dianas
I'm liking James but it may be too much like George...

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 25/04/2018 19:22

Ah ok muddy. I wouldn’t recycle a middle name as a forename for next dc
But no harm in it,just I wouldn’t it’s too samey same
