Do you reckon baby Cambridge will be named soon, I reckon Arthur or Albert are good contenders

I'm banking on Symbol.

Why symbol?

Glass - as in Prince the late pop singer who for a while insisted on being known by an unpronounceable symbol.

I really don't like Arthur, Alfred or Albert. Of the three I prefer Alfred

Ah okay, ideally James Arthur Cambridge would be my choice but it won't be James as that's Kate's brother

There were no Nigel's registered last year. So I think they will go for that, the trendsetters that they are.

Is there an official time they name a royal baby or is it just when they want?

Usually 24 to 72 hours I am presuming the baby will be named before 7pm tonight, usually it's within the normal hours and give newspapers enough chance to name the baby

Why is there always such a long wait before they announce a name to the public?

Ian, frank, roger and Clive were names that were in danger which is a shame cause they are good names, roger that!

I think there is a long wait to build up public speculation maximum public impact etc, cause if they announce everything at once it all dies down quite soon. I reckon they will release name with family photo

@notacooldad it took us about 3 days to agree on a name and we didn't have to conform to any royal protocols that I know of!!

Gary is nice. I’d like to live in a country with a Prince Gary. I could tolerate Graham too.

@notacooldad I suspect it's to keep interest going without any effort on their part or as my DM says 'To keep the pot boiling'.

I'm coming round to Alfred, Freddie goes really nicely with George and Charlotte. Arthur/Albert/Bertie are too old man and don't really go with the siblings!

(Arthur is DS' middle name btw!)
