ms blow meeting her new boss at a dinner party type thing...wearing a pair of antlers and a veil...him ''how will you manage to eat your meal?''
ms blow ''that is of absolutely no concern to me''

or words to that effetc

Enid · 08/05/2007 14:28

what a fantastic quote

very sad news.

PrincessPeaHead · 08/05/2007 14:29

oh shit. she's been trying for years.
damn.

expatinscotland · 08/05/2007 14:30

Wow.

Very sad.

She seemed a tortured soul.

I hope she has found some peace, even if she called her stepmother of more than 30 years a 'creature from a council estate'.

lulumama · 08/05/2007 14:31

they broke the mould when they made her, one of a kind

PrincessPeaHead · 08/05/2007 14:33

sat next to her at dinner last year
scariest night of my life
but a v generous and good friend, by all accounts

Marina · 08/05/2007 14:33

The world's a more boring place without her mad stylishness.

PetronellaPinkPants · 08/05/2007 14:35

Oh how sad
I had one of the most hilarious nights of my life at the Blow's hotel in Kandy once. Amazing place and people

AitchTwoOh · 08/05/2007 14:35

never heard of her

how come you all know of her

JackieNo · 08/05/2007 16:14

Was she really only 48? . Somehow I thought of her as older.

Mercy · 08/05/2007 16:14

I've never heard of her either.

Her face looks vaguely familiar though.

She sort of looked like Isabella Rosellini, IMO.

Aloha · 08/05/2007 16:17

She was absolutely broken by not being able to have children, I heard from someone very close to her. She'd tried to kill herself before. Very, very sad.

Twiglett · 08/05/2007 16:17

not even in the hairdressers

RumBumAndConcertina · 08/05/2007 20:33

Big, wild hats. Very Sitwellian IMO
The English do arty eccentricity really well.
I had not realised they weren't able to have children
