Apologies if I have missed another thread. Apparently they expect the death toll to rise above 300.

I have no words really.

TheSecondOfHerName · 15/10/2017 21:24

I can't stop thinking about it; it's too horrible and sad to fully comprehend.

I think this is the biggest terrorist attack since July 2016?

MGKROCKS · 15/10/2017 21:27

Where is this news...I just looked on line, can't find it

CandyMelts · 15/10/2017 21:28

It's on BBC main page MGK
Horrific Sad

longingforalife · 15/10/2017 21:31

so awful

MrsKCastle · 15/10/2017 21:32

It's horrifying. What gets me is that it isn't even the lead story, at least not on the BBC. If this was somewhere in the developed world, everyone would be changing their FB pictures and posting in solidarity. But it seems to be almost... I don't know... accepted?

I can't imagine what they must be going through.

MGKROCKS · 15/10/2017 21:33

Was on daily mail.james corden top story ,bloody hell..what do they gain by doing this...I can't comprehend anyone choosing to set of a bomb that they know will kill and maim ..it's senseless..every single atrocitiy just erodes my belief in God just a little more .those poor people

PerkingFaintly · 15/10/2017 21:34

Oh god, has the toll risen? I saw it earlier and it was bad enough.

MGKROCKS · 15/10/2017 21:35

It's not even on daily mail on line...why?

VivaLeBeaver · 15/10/2017 21:38

Awful. People, worry about terrorists from the Middle East but Africa seems to have a growing problem.

StealthPolarBear · 15/10/2017 21:39

Perking the report I read said they expected the death toll to be above 300.i don't know how reliable that is. Plus of course hundreds (presumably) maimed

TheSecondOfHerName · 15/10/2017 21:39

It does seem to be under-reported in the UK. And fewer messages of sympathy and solidarity on social media than I usually see. Is it because of the geographical distance? Because it's a less developed country? Because the victims aren't white? Or because the victims are Muslim? I'm hoping it's just because people haven't yet heard about it.

Hassled · 15/10/2017 21:43

Bloody hell - how awful. Beyond awful.

I've just spent a while scrolling through FB - I follow a lot of news sites. I saw nothing about this at all.

MGKROCKS · 15/10/2017 21:44

Tiny article on BBC news page,.nothing yet on daily mail....

RandomMess · 15/10/2017 21:51

Nothing on ITV headlines...how poor is that.

Horrific event.

LaurieFairyCake · 15/10/2017 22:12

Less geo political consequences as it’s not ISIS Sad

And it’s not white people Sad

And it’s a failed state (the terrorists are fighting the government) Sad

So that’s why it’s underreported Flowers

RoseAndRose · 15/10/2017 22:14

Made it on to the BBC news at 22:13

Danglingmod · 15/10/2017 22:16

It was a big headline on the Independent website earlier on. My fb has nothing on it at all.

Absolutely horrific.

TheSecondOfHerName · 15/10/2017 22:17

Laurie was it al-Shabaab?

LevelHeading · 15/10/2017 22:18

Just awful. I didn't know as it wasn't showing as a top story.

PerkingFaintly · 15/10/2017 22:19

I saw it on BBC News website hours ago. I don't know what media people who are saying it isn't reported on "mainstream media" are watching.
