Mobile phones - anyone else in the "stubborn few" and not got one?

I didn't have one but got one for christmas (unsought after)

but I can still have a semi claim as I have never piut any credit on it

Why would someone buy you a phone without asking you if you wanted one?

Does anyone ever see anyone using a public BT phone anymore? I wonder how long before they start pulling them down.

I don't have or want one. Find them offensive, intrusive and time stealers.

i had one in 1994 to 2000

Technically I have one - my dhs' old work one... But I don't know how to use it, am not interested in using it, find them intrusive, and I am very anti mobile phone masts so it would be hippocritical of me to use a mobile phone!!

I have a basic model & never text has it's so fiddly.

totaleclipse, I forgot my mobile the other week and remembered that DH and I hadn't agreed who was picking DS2 up from nursery and I needed to phone him to check. I was horrified that you now need 40p to make a call from a call box and of course DH was playing his guitar loudly so didn't answer the phone. I left him a message which of course I had no idea if he received it or not so in the end both of us ended up at the nursery.

I believe they have pulled many of the phoneboxes down.

I do use public phone boxes quite a bit, but I thought the same thing myself the other day. They can't possibly be making them any money.

I was given a phone aprox 5 years ago with £35 credit on it, it still has £11 left to go. I'd like to think this is some sort of record.
But if i say I don't like phones I'm regarded as a neanderthal. I just don't like phones. Love email.
