'Was the way I keep referring to them as the whatever sisters a clue?'

I thought you were joking. OK you don't like them. Everyone has a different sense of humour. They are favourites among Trump fans and they were centre stage at the Trump Veterans' Event which he held instead of doing the last Fox debate.

John Oliver on Donald Trump

It is hilarious in a nightmarish sort of way.

Check out 0:55-1:10, for example. That Americans are actually considering this pathetic comedian as President can be an argument against one-person-one-vote popular democracy as a viable system of electing leaders.

His inexplicable convoluted lie about being asked to appear on John Oliver's very show (2:53) and what he said about it made me Grin Grin Grin

Not so funny is where he advocates killing terrorists' families (to teach them a lesson? as a deterrent to others?) at 17:11, stunning even Fox TV presenters who are pretty used to racist, bigoted, outrageous stuff since they say most of it themselves on a regular basis.

It seems his family name was Drumpf, which suits him much better imho. The end of the show is hilarious Grin

It's interesting this analysis that suggests that whatever Trump has accumulated in wealth follows the stock market trend and results in either actual loss in relation to it, or marginal gains.

OTOH, if he is "only" actually worth a few hundred million, then it would mean that he has managed to lose a lot of money since when he inherited and is in fact significantly poorer than at the time.

For anyone interested in what a Trump world will look like, you can't do better than to read this Ben Judah article. Ben is a very good journalist. He gets some things wrong in my opinion, but it is very close to what I have been saying will happen when Trump takes the elite out and takes over. Ben concentrates on foreign policy, but there will be huge changes in America too. A lot of crooks wil be going to jail as Trump cleans house in Washington and Wall Street.

Ben Judah is not a Trump fan, he is not a Trumpite, but he understands what is coming!

"Welcome to the brave new world of Donald Trump’s foreign policy

Imagine the turmoil, and the reaction in Mexico City, as Trump tears their economy – utterly dependent on American remittances and outsourced American factories – to pieces

Welcome to Trump’s World. You better get to know it. This is really happening. Trump Think-Tank, Trump Staffers – they’re all on their way. The billionaire looks set to clinch the Republican nomination."

And the poor old EU won't know what hit them when Trump takes over.

"Trump has no truck with America’s old friends. The Europeans? He sees them as a bunch of freeloaders, with Germany the freeloader-in-chief."

It's a lovely day in the East Coast of England, in God's own county, Essex.

I hope it is just as nice on the East Coast of the United States and all across the Mid-West and down South, because Trumpites are making their way to polling booths all across the USA in their tens of thousands to teach the Establishment and their candidates a lesson.

Our hopes and prayers are wth our fellow Trumpites!

Trump 2016!

This is what Trump said and is what Trumpism is all about.

"Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama has endorsed Donald Trump for president. In a statement heralding the news, Trump said it was just one stage in “an incredible movement, arising from the people”.

“The events of history have aligned to give the people this fleeting chance to bust up the oligarchy,” Trump said, “to take back control from the ‘Masters of the Universe’ [and] return it to the good and decent and patriotic citizens of the United States.”

www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/feb/28/senator-jeff-sessions-alabama-endorses-donald-trump-president

It doesn't get much clearer than that. No wonder the Economist has a leader article previous to that saying "Time to fire Trump".

Come on claig, admit it. You are a retired man who lives in the US. In fact, you are this guy Grin who writes (and I quote) "How Trump got there ... he didn't ignore the rank and file real American like the Globalists, the Establishment, the Elitists and the big-money interests who are against America ... have done for decades. Trump is there at the time the real American is going to dump the Elitists!"

Sound familiar? Grin

"Time to fire Trump"

Drumpf, you mean Grin

Report

'Sound familiar?'

Absolutely. That is what every Trumpite, and more importantly, Trump himself, thinks. That is why the political class wants to stop him.

So you are saying that you are not this guy, you are not even American, but you are a Trump bot and that is why you sound exactly like a retired, bald, pot-bellied American senior who is also a Trump bot? Grin

Has your brain been hijacked? Do you need help?

Shall we get you professional help so that you can let go of Drumpf and go back to kissing UKIP's feet?

Cote, I am not that guy. I am interested in politics and there is no more important event than the US election because as Ben Judah states so well in that Independent article, the whole world will change immeasurably if Trump wins.

I like Trump because I am a conservative who wants similar change in England. It can't happen here because the system is controlled, but with Trump in charge of America, the ramifications will shake up all of the political classes in Europe and change things here too.

If Trump wins and achieves that, then oligarchies all over the world will fall.
If he loses, then things will continue to deteriorate.

If Trump wins then oligarchies around the world (no less) will fail? Grin Will unicorns fly down from the sky and sing songs of praise to your hero the serial liar and vulgar bullshit artist? Is peace on Earth and happiness for all finally upon us?

Shall we raise our hands and start singing Hallelujah in preparation for that glorious day when a pathetic comedian and compulsive liar with delusions of grandeur gets his hands on nuclear launch codes?

Report
claig · 01/03/2016 14:33

Thelwell, it all depends on whether Trump makes it to be the Republican nominee. He has the popular support of Republican voters but that may not be enough because the Republican elite may be able to stop him at the Republican Convention in Cleveland.

But if they fail, then the odds are that he will probably beat Hillary and then he will be President. So there is probably at least a 50-50 chance at the moment.

Report
CoteDAzur · 01/03/2016 14:39

There is no 50-50 chance. If Trump becomes the Republican candidate, all that will lead to is another Democrat as President. Just like many Republicans voted for Obama rather than let Sarah Palin get close to Presidency last time.

Getting opinions from Daily Mail and Fox TV is not healthy for anyone, but especially for you claig because you don't have the knowledge base (as per your own admission) to distinguish between what is plausible and what is complete fabrication. And there is no shortage on fabrication on either of your favourite "news" outlets.

Actually Hilary Clinton is not liked by a lot of people. Those under 35 in particular do not like her at all. I think with Hilary Clinton expected to win the democrat nomination they are going to have a very hard time winning the election no matter who the GOP candidate is.

There was a interesting article saying Trump vs. Clinton would be a nightmare match up because both are very unpopular with large percentages of the population. I live in the US in a so called Liberal area and my friends are women over 35. None of them like Hilary. She is seen as too establishment and they don't like the fact that she rose to power on her husband's coattails not on her own merits. She is seen as a consumate politician who will say whatever it takes to get to power. They all preferred Bernie.

Isn't Trump though what the Republicans actually want, but have just pretended otherwise?

I sometimes wonder if he will get in based on wanting to rock the boat and maybe some apathy towards Hilary?

I think Sanders vs Trump would result in a Sanders win. The Democrats are being very short sighted by giving the nomination to Clinton. Trump vs Clinton is very risky because given the choice a lot of people will take a second look at Trump and possibly vote that way.

I do think Sanders has been given a very rough deal. He is actually the best thing to happen in US politics in a very long time. Sadly it doesn't look like he is going to get the nod.
