Bearing in mind my ignorance of politics.

Could it be possible that Trymp is a front for a group of other politicians.

Yes, that's the concern ...

Bloomberg isn't stupid though. I don't think he would destroy his legacy by being the man who put Trump in the White House.

Why isn't Bloomberg trying to get the Democratic nomination? Is it already too late with Iowa and New Hampshire gone?

Bloomberg was a Republican until 2007.

I don't like Hillary Clinton. Its not the emails, because it was before that. Its not that she's successful either because that's a good thing. I can't put my finger on it.

'Bearing in mind my ignorance of politics.

That is an excellent question. I don't know, but I think that Trump is probably a front figure for a group of very important group of people who want to save America and rescue it from its decline and to avert a third world war which globalist forces may drag it into. That is why there is such panic about Trump from the other faction, the globalist faction.

The Financial Times had an article "The Nativists must not win".
Trump is a nativist in the sense that he is not a globalist like the Davos crew. Trump puts America and Americans first and the globalists don't like that. If Trump wins, I think some people will be going to jail for what they have done.

Trump said that Hillary is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people and that she has the nerve to call Trump dangerous. All the opponents of Trump have got is to use the media to call him racist and sexist in an attempt to stop him. I don't think it will work, I think they are going to lose.

Here is Julian Assange making some twitter comments yesterday

"Writing on the WikiLeaks website yesterday ahead of the New Hampshire Democratic primary, he said: 'A vote today for Hillary Clinton is a vote for endless, stupid war.

'Hillary lacks judgment and will push the United States into endless wars which spread terrorism. Her poor policy decisions have directly contributed to the rise of ISIS.'

He said he came to his judgement after 'years of experience' reading 'thousands' of Mrs Clinton's cables which had been passed to Wikileaks by U.S. soldier Bradley Manning.

He added: 'Hillary didn't just vote for Iraq. She made her own Iraq. Libya is Hillary's Iraq and if she becomes president she will make more.

'Hillary's war has increased terrorism, killed tens of thousands of innocent civilians and has set back women's rights in the Middle East by hundreds of years.'

This is a very important election that will determine teh future of the entire world and may determine if we end up in a world war. All they have got to stop Trump beating them is to call lhim racist. We will have to see if that will fool the people as it so often has done elsewhere in the past.

claig - are you a Trump supporter?
and do you read the Daily Mail for political analysis?

Report
claig · 10/02/2016 20:50

Absolutely, I am a Trump supporter because I think I understand why Trump is running, why he entered the race and what he will do if he wins.

I read the Daily Mail and lots of other papers for political analysis, including the Guardian.

I'm inspired by all the comments here to do some further reading on all the candidates. Months ago when they said Trump wanted to be president I really thought it was a joke. I thought it would go no where. How wrong I was.

"Trump's success and potential reminds me of Corbyn in the Labour leadership last summer. He stood out against a sea of blandness."

Isn't it Sanders' success that's more akin to Corbyn's? Tapping into the "The rich are really getting away with it, aren't they?"

I was a bit slow on the uptake there, claig! I didn't realise you were a Trump supporter. And I thought the DM link was for irony or something.

I think I know why Trump is running. Its simple: he is a megalomaniac. He's not stupid though. He doesn't think he'll be able to deliver anything he promises, but he doesn't care because that's not his objective. He just wants more fame and power than everyone else

SwedishEdith - maybe. i don't know much about Sanders. I was thinking more in terms of profile.
Whenever the 4 labour leadership candidates spoke last summer, it seemed like 3 forgettable but predictable answers and Corbyn's. Corbyn sounded different, so he caught your attention not because of what he said exactly, just that he looked and sounded like the odd one out.

Bishopsbuddy, it is truly fascinating. Until a few months ago, I knew hardly anything about how the US system works. It is a great system. They all work very hard. Trump is making another speech to a huge rally tonight and there is another debate on Saturday. It is non-stop and gruelling but it is the most important office in the world. Why should we care over here? Because what happens there will affect all of us.

Don't believe the media you read about it because lots of them are liars. Go onto youtube and listen to Trump advisers. Look up Trump insider Roger Stone. Learn a bit of what really goes on and why Trump has put himself through all of this and why he cares so much. He said again last night at his rally "it takes real guts to stand for President" and it really does, it is a gruelling process and there are all sorts of media smears and lies to try and stop candidates from winning power because it is such an important office.

All the rallies can be watched live on the internet as can all of the debates. All the speeches are on youtube. You can watch all of the candidates and learn what is really at stake and what it is really all about.

SwedishEdith, you are right that Sanders is the equivalent of Corbyn, but Trump although the opposite (i.e. right wing) is also similar because all three of them are united by being anti-establishment. A lot of their policy issues are the same, except they have different solutions. There are voters who are split between Sanders and Trump because both candidates address the same issues but in different ways.

'Its simple: he is a megalomaniac'

No, he is not stupid. He has a good life, a good business and a great family. he is not a politician like the rest of the career lot, he wouldn't put himself through all of this abuse for nothing. He cares about America and loves his country, that is why he is going to fix it. Just like his millions of voters, he has had enough.

It would mean no more wars where our money is wasted and the lives of innocent people are lost and where millions become refugees and lose everything they ever owned.
