One last example to show the type of nudge psychology techniques which engender the fear that you obviously and genuinely feel when you say
"I am genuinely terrified of what will happen if the world does not act fast."
I suppose the poitive side of it is that all the taxpayer money they spend on "nudge" is not entirely wasted. It does work and terrify a lot of people to want to "act" aseo they wish them to.
Here is soemthing from today's news and illustrates the type of frightening predictions a chardee might make
"Kids Company warned its closure could cause 'rioting'
...
BBC Newsnight and BuzzFeed News have learned of a document, emailed to civil servants in the name of Alan Yentob, chair of the charity's trustees, on 2 June. It warned that a sudden closure of the charity would mean a "high risk of arson attacks on government buildings".
The document also warned of a high risk of "looting" and "rioting", and cautioned that the "communities" served by Kids Company could "descend into savagery". The document was written in language that civil servants across government described as "absurd", "hysterical" and "extraordinary".

and here are some dire terrifyng warnings about "climate change"
"Scientific model supported by UK Government Taskforce flags risk of civilisation’s collapse by 2040
...
“We ran the model forward to the year 2040, along a business-as-usual trajectory based on ‘do-nothing’ trends?—?that is, without any feedback loops that would change the underlying trend. The results show that based on plausible climate trends, and a total failure to change course, the global food supply system would face catastrophic losses, and an unprecedented epidemic of food riots. In this scenario, global society essentially collapses as food production falls permanently short of consumption.”
Another steering committee member raised their hand: “So is this going to happen? Is this a forecast?”
“No,” said Jones. “This scenario is based on simply running the model forward. The model is a short-term model. It’s not designed to run this long as in the real world, trends are always likely to change, whether for better or worse.”
“Okay, but what you’re saying is that if there is no change in current trends, then this is the outcome?” continued the questioner.
Jones nodded with a half-smile. “Yes,” he said quietly."

OMG. Terrifying. We must act before it's too late.
