Sorry if there is another thread (can't find it).

I am shocked so many people effectively support Jeremys' alleged behaviour by signing petitions to get him re-instated.

Allegedly he said "Where's our food you f*king lazy Irish cnt"
which is clearly racist and abusive.
He also allegedly threatened the man with being fired
“He said he hadn’t done his job properly, it was ridiculous that there was nothing to eat, obviously there was lots of expletives in between all this, and that he would be losing his job, he would see to it that he would lose his job,” a witness said.

He also pushed/slapped the producer.

He sounds not so much tory and UKIP.
As for so many red tops saying he has people signing enmasse, yes - indeed but the Independent found that half of people want him sacked.
Just half - makes you wonder. :(

"Allegedly"

bkgirl · 13/03/2015 15:01

Apparently the producer HAD organised hot food - the chef waited 2 hours for Clarkson et al to show up (depite the producer asking) but they couldn't get him out of the pub. After 2 hours the chef went home when there was a no show.
Again the british public supports Clarkson. * facepalm

There's another quite long thread. I can't link on my phone though sorry!

Samcro · 13/03/2015 15:04

the "british public" don't support him. mot people don't give a shit about him.

LittleBearPad · 13/03/2015 15:05

the chat one
there have been a few lol

Certainly allegedly :) but I think it's sad that people support this type of behaviour. I think Clarkson should have issued an apology and shown remorse IF is this is what happened. Top Gear is enjoyed by many but popularity appears to have inflated the mans ego to astonishing and unacceptable proportions.

Thank you - will have a look :)

Clarko is screwing the BBC today. Saying publicly he may resign. It has all been about showing who was boss.

Sparklingbrook · 14/03/2015 11:28

We need a Jeremy Clarkson topic.

PeaceOfWildThings · 14/03/2015 11:34

It's all been about Jeremy Clarkson wanting yet more publicity. He was the one who went public with this and brought it to media attention, not the producer who was hit. I've totally lost all respect for the man.

PuffinsAreFictitious · 14/03/2015 14:20

The fact that the "Reinstate a man who has allegedly assaulted a coworker" petition has more signatures than the one asking for posthumous pardons for men criminalised under Britain's ridiculous homosexuality laws says pretty much everything a visiting alien needs to know about the UK right now.

bkgirl · 18/03/2015 05:05

I cannot understand how the story has not been accurately presented yet. Clarkson seems to be denying hitting Oisin but we are told he had a split lip/went to A&E. Was there someone else involved - did he fall? What did Clarkson apologise for? Was it for the reported/witnessed tirade? It's all a mess and has caused many impassioned utterances for days. I don't like any form of alleged abuse - obviously but to compare JC to Saville was clumsy and frankly I wouldn't like it! The alleged offences although accurately both termed abuse are not in the same stratosphere, it was too extreme although I can see how an exec was trying to appear above board. The BBC has had a bad record in covering up stuff like Hall and Saville as had Thatcher as PM. So I guess when David C stood up for him it actually rankled many. It made people feel any investigation wouldn't be unbiased.
Why is the investigation taking sooo long? They should have had this sorted in a max of 2 days with evidence made public so no one can be blamed for a cover up.
It all needs to calm down, the producer getting death threats is just dreadful, I hope they are stopped and whatever the truth comes out.

He seems like a deeply unpleasant and insecure man.

I think in any other walk of life, if you punched someone at work, you'd be sacked. (Assuming he did, that is.)

Sparklingbrook · 18/03/2015 09:22

I am not sure we will ever know exactly what happened. So the speculation just goes on.

ohmymimi · 25/03/2015 18:17

He's been given the boot.

Sparklingbrook · 25/03/2015 19:47

Yep-there are a lot of threads about it around.....
