WAs bound to happen I suppose.

Just horrible. What a good man. What a waste.

Poor man. Thoughts with his family tonight

ArsenicFaceCream · 03/10/2014 21:37

Murder. Not execution.

GratefulHead · 03/10/2014 21:38

Fucking terrorist scumbags, all he wanted to do was take aid to people who desperately needed it.

ajandjjmum · 03/10/2014 21:38

Awful - poor guy, poor family.

Evil bastards.

Longdistance · 03/10/2014 21:39

:(

ArsenicFaceCream · 03/10/2014 21:39

They have now proved they have no limits, scruples, morals whatsoever.

Poor man.

Chelvis · 03/10/2014 21:40

Just saw this, have posted in chat. I didn't know him, but I live nearby and know people who speak well of him. I don't understand what can be achieved by killing a man who sought to help people, to show kindness and to give medical care and food to children. It is beyond my comprehension. RIP.

HeySoulSister · 03/10/2014 21:41

How many hostages do they actually have?

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 03/10/2014 21:43

Fucking murdering bastards.
My heat goes out to him and his poor family.

OverAndAbove · 03/10/2014 21:46

Oh god, how awful. RIP Alan. He was not part of this fight; this is not justice.

Presumably it's looking bad for John Cantlie and the other hostages. I can't imagine how their family and friends feel

mummylin2495 · 03/10/2014 21:46

There are no words, R.I.P. Deepest condolences to your family.

Nancy66 · 03/10/2014 21:46

they have about another 18-20 hostages.

I genuinely think 'evil' is the only word that can truly describe this. So, so awful - RIP Alan. A sad loss of the kind of person we need most at the moment.

Reluctant2ndtimer · 03/10/2014 21:50

I'm totally gutted about this, I really hoped that they would free Alan Henning. He really seemed such a good and compassionate man, going out there solely to help people. ISIS have proven yet again that they have absolutely no humanity left. His poor poor wife and family. A man to be truly proud of though. Not that that will help ease their pain in any way of course.

grimbletart · 03/10/2014 22:03

Of course they wouldn't release him. They are a load of murdering psychopaths. RIP poor brave Alan.

What an end for a good man who put his life on the line to help Muslims.

And to think there scores of "British" Muslims going out there to help these scummy bastards.

Slowdownsally · 03/10/2014 22:08

A friend of mine went out to Syria with a children's charity last year to help. She came back utterly changed by the experience.

I'm very angry - these are people who give their time and their compassion to help.

I... Words fail...

RabbitSaysWoof · 03/10/2014 22:08

Poor brave man.
I feel really sad about this he was doing such a selfless thing.
RIP Sad

Blondieminx · 03/10/2014 22:08

Bloody awful. Thoughts with Alan's family, this is beyond comprehension.

CJMommy · 03/10/2014 22:17

Feel desperately sad and angry about this. Hoped, just hoped they would let him go. The evil in some people knows no bounds. My thoughts are with his family, those who remain hostage and those who are desperately working to free them. HmmHmm

Reluctant2ndtimer · 03/10/2014 22:23

I also can't get my head round what it is they hope to end up with... In their minds, after all the fighting is over and they have what they want, what will that be? The 'Islamic' caliphate, they're keeping Muslim women in forced brothels, killing anyone who isn't a Muslim, or the right kind of Muslim, no education, no laughter, what kind of world do they envision? Or are they just living in the moment because they are fucking evil fucks. How can so many people be so evil. I feel like never watching, reading, listening to the news ever again because it's too horrific but I need to be aware of what's going because if we all bury our heads in the sand it allows shit like this to continue.
100 years since World War One and we're back to where we started or worse.

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 03/10/2014 22:26

He didn't stand a chance did he Sad

Tragic for him and his family and for the hope of the people he was trying to help.

R.I.P. Alan

bensam · 03/10/2014 22:35

Evil evil evil. Really feeling for the family and all the other families who's loved ones have been murdered by these psychopaths. We have to try and stop this and stop all the hatred preaching that is going on undercover in our country. Totally twisted minds who have no place to say that they are followers of Islam.

Valsoldknickers · 03/10/2014 22:37

RIP Alan, a good man who only wanted to help.

Sad I have no words. Just sickening. That poor man, murdered so brutally & callously, and all he wanted was to help people.
