Just catching up....got BBC news on now. They had some person being interviewed previously on the plane but it was a bit over my head.
BBC is saying it took 4 days to process the amount of data they had which is why they only spotted it now. You have to have an expert eye to spot something like that, I would never have guessed that was debris.
I wonder if there is a language barrier if the people in Malaysia doing the press conferences don't have English as a first language? The sound quality is awful! Did they say they still haven't ruled out foul play until they can find the black box? Hope the news channels add some subtitles to the speech.

The sea captain is right in that there's so much sea debris. Feel so sad for him :( I didn't think that was a hugely busy shipping lane but then again it goes from Perth with all the mines and stuff so who knows. It is one of the most treacherous stretches of ocean in the world though, that is for certain.
And yes, they knew. The governments that is. The whole thing is a nightmare.
