Add your details here to see how comparatively wealthy you are compared to the rest of the country.

27% of the UK earn less than we do, and we are living on the edge of poverty apparently.

11% of the uk earn less than we do and we are living in poverty Sad

As if I didn't know that already! Grin

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 22/06/2012 22:55

6% earn less.

There is already another thread btw...

monkeymoma · 22/06/2012 22:58

19%, edge of poverty

thought MW was supposed to be terribly MC or are the midline people just not posting their results?

stubbornstains · 22/06/2012 22:58

Well fuck. 29% earn less than me, and we're living on the edge of poverty. Which is pretty bad, considering I'm on full benefits (well, self-employed, but not turning a profit).

And nearly a third of the country is worse off than us? That's truly shocking.

bronze · 22/06/2012 22:58

16%
I'm shocked. It's tight but I think we live reasonably

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 22/06/2012 22:59

Other thread here:

stubbornstains · 22/06/2012 23:00

Oh hang on, have you all added any additional benefits to your earnings? (CB, TC, HB etc?).

Dropdeadfred · 22/06/2012 23:00

Ooh we are the other end of the spectrum apparently

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 22/06/2012 23:01

Yup - I assumed that was what it meant by total income?

DontCallMeBaby · 22/06/2012 23:01

Okay, to send the figures the other way, 85%. Believe me, I don't think we're anything less than comfortable, but that's still a surprise.

Jodidi · 22/06/2012 23:02

47% of the population earn less than we do. We are not living in poverty and I knew that before. I have lived in poverty before in my life and feel very comfortable financially where we are now as this is a fairly recent development.

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 22/06/2012 23:04

87% earn less. Blush I really should start counting my blessings...

bronze · 22/06/2012 23:04

I had to guess my croc as they can't actually figure the damn things out. Thinking about it ours is probably pushed down as used the p60 but there was unemployment at the beginning. Really I think we're about 19% which fits our just ok feeling

jaquelinehyde · 22/06/2012 23:04

6% and I am in poverty...

No shit Sherlock!

bronze · 22/06/2012 23:05

croc Ctc

Tangfasticlady · 22/06/2012 23:05

Apparently 0% of the population are poorer then us , happy days !!

KatieScarlett2833 · 22/06/2012 23:06

57 - squeezed middle

cazboldy · 22/06/2012 23:07

6% and in poverty..... tell me something i didn't know!

SkipTheLightFanjango · 22/06/2012 23:08

10%..yup! Skint Sad

jaquelinehyde · 22/06/2012 23:10

However, to put a positve spin on some rather depressing results this time a year and a half ago 0% of the population lived on less than us.

So it can get better, ok not much better but better is better.

gamerwidow · 22/06/2012 23:10

45% so squeezed middle apparently, used to be 85% pre-DD though. Those were the days [sigh].
No compaints from me though I very much count my blessings.

ItWasThePenguins · 22/06/2012 23:11

45%, squeezed middle. I'd agree with that.

BonnieBumble · 22/06/2012 23:12

Squeezed middle. If it took into account our travel costs which are higher than anyone else I know it would put us in a lower bracket.

It's rubbish really, because there are people who earn a lot less than us but have virtually no mortgage and no childcare so they are having a completely different lifestyle than us!

TheDetective · 22/06/2012 23:12

69%, and we are in the 'squeezed middle' apparently!

DillyTante · 22/06/2012 23:15

Sorry, didnt mean to start a competitive poverty thread! Just thought it was interesting.

To be fair if I put in DH & I's full time income we'd probably be in the middle but we work part time to look after the kids. We'd not be that much better off in reality if we did work
FT due to childcare costs.
