whipmeindiana of course that's the link for Tom Alexander. Silly silly man.

and even sillier is Charlie Brooks.

just read that News International has been put on a negative credit watch by Standard and Poor as well.

noddyholder · 18/07/2011 21:49

News reporting he was found by police How did they know? Who alerted them? Even if he died of natural causes this is going to cause mayhem and make people look closer at all of this

mrsdonkeybucket · 18/07/2011 21:50

I know, befuzzled

I have a penchant for PMs Questions, but it's like watching boys argue in the playground.

This is much more exciting.

Exciting doesn't sound like the right word though.

Have got just one thought. I bet when (if not before) this is over, some idiot will say that "lessons will be learned".

Can I please be first in line to thump said idiot ?

mrsdonkeybucket · 18/07/2011 21:51

I would imagine there will be an autopsy ? But it wont stop whispers of naughtiness.

mrsdonkeybucket · 18/07/2011 21:52

Silly bitch, I am.

I meant post-mortem, of course.

BornSicky · 18/07/2011 21:52

mrsdonkeybucket we should add "lessons will be learned" to Hackgate bingo. Worth 25 points i should think.

mrsdonkeybucket · 18/07/2011 21:53

Oh yes !

25, got to be at least 100 !

It's a favourite. Always. There are always lessons to be learned.

BrianAndHisBalls · 18/07/2011 21:54

im sure 'learned' is US anyway, in uk should be 'learnt'. Just thought i'd throw that out there.

mrsdonkeybucket · 18/07/2011 21:58

Yes, well with NI going swiftly awry, I expect we shall have to get used to the UK way of spelling once again !

"Lessons will be learnt."

Better ?

I expect it's "learned" so the fool that says it doesn't spit all over the journo's reporting on the 'message to the masses'.

Tonight's Panorama now on iPlayer.

But I can't fit in watching it till after the 10 O'Clock News and then Newsnight. And if I leave it till tomorrow, it'll be completely out of date. Hmm

OP posts:
mrsdonkeybucket · 18/07/2011 22:08

To be honest, TIANC it didn't say anything that hasn't already been covered.

You wont miss a vital statement or anything, don't worry !

Leave it till tomorrow, after yesterday, I'm scared to go to bed ! Grin

BornSicky · 18/07/2011 22:09

got to be Newsnight.

mrsdonkeybucket · 18/07/2011 22:09

Apologies.

mrsdonkeybucket · 18/07/2011 22:11

I have had BBC Parliament/BBC News on nearly all day.

DH has claimed tv, and is watching 'Bad Boys'.

" Bad boys, bad boys, wha'cha gonna do, wha'cha gonna do when they come for you ?"

How apt. Smile

OhYouBadBadKitten · 18/07/2011 22:15

dh has nicked the tv for motorsport I shant be seeing tv for hours now.

Terribletriplets · 18/07/2011 22:19

I actually bought this edition of Tatler. Schadenfreudfuck.

teejwood · 18/07/2011 22:20

great link headfairy, boswell - am practically wetting myself with laughter at the laptop story.

"Wilson said Charlie Brooks had left the bag with a friend who was returning it, but dropped it in the wrong part of the garage."

Yes because laptops aren't expensive or anything - you just dump them anywhere and assume no-one is going to look inside, go "oh a laptop, nice one, i could get a few quid for that" and walk off.

"When asked how the bag ended up in a bin he replied: "The suggestion is that a cleaner thought it was rubbish and put it in the bin.""

"The suggestion is..." is a really odd choice of words for a PR. He's practically saying "This is the story they have made up and they want me to run with it. I think it's a heap of shit and have advised them against it but they wouldn't budge. So let's give it a whirl and see if you bite - but I don't blame you if you don't."

oh no scriptwriter could come up with this, it would just be too unbelievable Grin
