This is a T-mobile ad that has gone viral, with royal look-alikes dancing to 'House of Love'. Some people really seem to have been fooled!

"i was shocked that they could do that in the westminister abbey. no more dignity"

Prince Harry can really bust some moves, can't he! Grin

I've been trying to avoid the subject but saw the video on another thread and have to say I really enjoyed it. Harry was by far the best dancer in the westminster abbey.

Chil1234 · 20/04/2011 16:13

84% of Americans think 9/11 was an inside job. 'Nuff said

BehindLockNumberNine · 20/04/2011 16:19

Oh god, just laughed out loud at that!!
And no, nothing surprises me about the ignorance of some Americans.... sadly.

PanicOnTheStreetsOfLondon · 20/04/2011 16:26

Surely nobody really thinks this is real?

Funny though - Hoping the real wedding will actually be this intersting!

BehindLockNumberNine · 20/04/2011 16:30

I really really hope nobody thinks this is real. But then I was once in all seriousness asked, by a supposedly intelligent American man, father of a friend of mine, upon telling him I was Dutch but currently living in Germany, "Gee, Germany, are they still at war over there?" Bearing in mind this was in 1989 Confused

NorfolkNChanceOfAnEgg · 20/04/2011 21:27

I love that video, great Anne look a like and well harry can shake his thang! Grin

madwomanintheattic · 20/04/2011 21:33

see, a little part of me wanted it to be the real harry, not a lookalikeee.

do you think we could spread that rumour?

it's totally something he would do...

Who are the two guys that dance first supposed to be?

BehindLockNumberNine · 20/04/2011 21:51

I do agree with you bran. I spent a very brief time visiting / helping at a New York advertising agency aged 16 - going back 23 years now and even then their advertising was superb and very well done (most of it anyway...)

The more I think about it the less I think the Americans were fooled by this. Confused

Sidge · 20/04/2011 22:40

That's really quite funny!

Would certainly make the event more interesting if they came in like that Grin

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 20/04/2011 22:54

I assumed that the first two guys are nameless ushers, Shiny.

I did think the Rowan Williams lookalike was pretty convincing - or maybe, like Harry, it is something he'd do...... Grin

That 84% is an urban legend, I think. Certainly no one I know believes it was an inside job, and I don't know anyone in person who's not an American. Everyone thinks, in the words of the South Park kids, that it was some "pissed off Muslims." I read a poll saying that 5% of Americans "strongly agree" that it was done by the government, and 4% "somewhat agree." Most likely, these are the same people wearing tin foil hats.

Also I don't know anyone who thinks that was the actual Royal wedding. I'm sure most people- myself included- just think it was a mildly amusing advert.

Katesbush · 21/04/2011 04:46

When we were in California we were asked, in all seriousness, if people in Ireland still used horses and carts to get around.

CheerfulYank · 21/04/2011 06:07

Wait...you mean you don't ?!

:o

gorionine · 21/04/2011 06:30

"Mildly amusing ad"?I am in tears ! The Archbishop was fantastic!

SilveryMoon · 21/04/2011 07:08

OMG, that was one of the funniest things I've seen in a while! Jut brilliant. Thought the look-a-like's were all fab, apart from Charles, that was easy to spot as a fake.
Brilliant advert

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 21/04/2011 11:19

Re: the 84%, CheerfulYank - you know that 75.3% of all statistics are made up, don't you! WinkGrin

I put this on the wedding dress thread the other day - I thought it was a right giggle
