Hi all I am just posting this in order to keep Joannes name in the public domain- This case is very mysterious and so far the police have no real leads although her parents suspect she has been abducted!

The link is below-

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1341106/Distraught-parents-Jo-Yeates-plead-help-finding-missing-architect-daughter.html

Hopefully someone has the information needed to bring Joanna hope safe and well- her parents are distraught!

perhaps it is this:

Mumsnet's raison d'être is to make parents' lives easier.

Our policy is to keep intervention to a minimum and let the conversation flow. Having said that, we will remove postings that are obscene, contain personal attacks or break the law. Please do bear in mind how difficult this parenting business can be, and if there's one thing all of us could do with, it's some moral support.

You are free to change your nickname but please note that we don't allow nickname changes for inflammatory, malicious or misleading purposes.

Please note that Mumsnet has non-exclusive copyright in all submissions to Mumsnet Talk, and reserves the right to edit and re-publish these in print form. For more information read our terms of use.

Gordian knot, broke the rules by name calling and personal attacks! Are you going to have a go, or is it because he agree's with you he is allowed to???

SlartyBartFast · 29/12/2010 15:25

?me?
i was just quoting what i thought the previous poster was referring to..

Feenie · 29/12/2010 15:37

"I didn't see the mnhq post. What bounds of decency do they state they want the thread discussed within?"

MN have deleted posts on this thread that were horribly speculative about the family and boyfriend, and probably libellous aswell.

bibbitybobbitysantahat · 29/12/2010 15:51

Alright then, Seeker, Gordian Knot and others. I'll consider myself told what to do then and won't comment any more. Would just like to say I am neither ghoulish, nor a freak. I am not obsessed by this case or an amateur detective.

With the exception of a very few posts earlier on (which have clearly been reported and deleted) the thread has been extremely sensitive and respectful.

I am extremely angry that you think it is your place to tell people what they can and cannot discuss on Mumsnet and to post inflammatory personal comments to boot but its not worth fighting over so I give up. My anger, in the scheme of things is inconsequential.

MummieHunnie · 29/12/2010 15:55

No random stranger on an internet site should ever control you by name calling etc from afar, bibbitybobbity! I understand why you feel you want to leave.

Feenie · 29/12/2010 15:55

Are you referring to Lovecat as 'others'? What about her feelings?

mrsoo7 · 29/12/2010 16:10

See the trolls are having a field day on here trying to control and manipulate the forum by chasing off the free thinking intellects.

Feenie · 29/12/2010 16:19

mrs007, if you bother to do a search, you will find that I have been an MN member for nearly 5 years.

Free thinking intellects? Rofl Grin

Here's MN netiquette for your free thinking intellect to peruse at leisure. You may be particularly interested in this bit:

"If you suspect someone of being a troll, please don't accuse them publicly on the discussion thread,(if you're wrong, you could cause untold hurt"

And then consider your acccusations when directed towards Lovecat.

I hope you feel thoroughly ashamed of yourself by then - but I very much doubt it.

Feenie · 29/12/2010 16:22

I guessed that Lovecat's post to mrsoo7 would be deleted because she lost her temper, so shall repost the bits that she should read carefully, minus the swearing:

"It's emotive because there are real people involved whose pain some posters happen to be dissecting so callously. I make no apologies for calling anyone on that.

To suggest that people confine themselves to the few details of the case released and leave off with the amateur hour Cracker impressions is not trollish."

earwicga · 29/12/2010 16:35

Blimey, it's easy to see how chinese whispers get round. I suggest the people saying the landlord said this and that watch what he actually says in the report linked to above by aristomache

cro1234 · 29/12/2010 16:45

Yeah MummieHummie she ate the pizza in her house , went down to put the rubbish out , without needing to bring all her bags / purse etc and while down there she left with these men maybe ? :/

scarletbegonia · 29/12/2010 16:53

I don't think anyone's trolling on this thread and for the most part posters are just discussing the facts and trying to come up with possible explanations.

As long as people don't make any accusations I think its within the bounds of decency to talk about the circumstances of an awful event. It doesn't mean we don't care or are being disrespectful.

The forum thread is about Joanna Yeates anything else is an attempt to divert the discussion away from this sad topic - my posts are not in response to any other posters and therefore have never been directed at anybody personally.

Feenie · 29/12/2010 19:07

Terrible back pedalling there, mrsoo7. Fortunately, we can all read.

mrsoo7 · 29/12/2010 19:28

My posts are and have been an individual observation - not directed at anybody personally - the thread is about Joanna - and is not for posters to express opinions on other posters personally - the word for this type of posting is trolling - make of that what you wish Feenie!

Feenie · 29/12/2010 19:36

Weasely back pedalling at that - pretending now you aimed your accusations at no one in particular. I may have thought more of you if you'd apologised for any offence to Lovecat, whether it was unintentional or not.

I gave you the MN policy on trolling - I'd have thought with your 'free thinking intellect' you'd have sussed it by now. Calling other people on offensive posts isn't trolling - it's MN policy.

Flightattendant29 · 29/12/2010 19:40

and here we go again.

mrsoo7 · 29/12/2010 19:44

I reiterate - my post have always been an individual observation and I quite undeerstand MN policy regarding the forums - I can read despite what you think - also as this subject has nothing to do with the current thread will not engage any further with your posts.
