Everyone welcome, newcomers and old(ish) flappers alike!

Here you can do any of the following:

  • repeat or start baby steps
  • repeat baby steps + do 15 mins a day decluttering in the current zone
  • reinforce babysteps and do daily missions if you have finished decluttering

As Christmas is approaching I will also be posting Christmas missions.

I'll post links early in the morning on the relevant day while I'm making the coffee and brewing tea. There might even be toast...

Good luck!

pushmepullssantassleigh · 03/12/2009 22:06

Glad things are looking up a bit today DEM.

I quite enjoy a room rescue myself, mine are just a couple of minutes surface tidying and chucking away - essential with an almost toddler if you are to have any chance of enjoying your living room!

I have managed most of my list today and also forced my DH into discussing our finances, which never normally happens (he opts out and leaves it all to me )

DD still grotty and me too a bit tbh so off to bed in a minute I think.

Goodnight all

swanriver · 03/12/2009 22:26

oh dear, didn't get very far with that one
got waylaid by the Guardian I was chucking and had to sit with my dh while he drank his soup

mummyclaus · 04/12/2009 06:53

Good morning everyone - coffee is ready, tea should be brewed in a couple of mins

Babystep is here. Could be useful or could be a catch-up day

Mission is here - get those feather dusters out!

And finally here is your holiday mission:
"HOLIDAY SUPER CRUISING MISSION #4
December 3

I told you all in Mission #1 that we are into Super Cruise mode for the Holidays. We will be decorating, cleaning outside of our Zones and pampering ourselves!

Your mission for today is to make any appointments that need to be made for the holidays.

Do you need a hair cut, a manicure, do you have dry cleaning that needs to be taken in, do you need to schedule a vet or kennel appointment, do you need to make hotel reservations, do you need a doctor or dentist appointment, and also for your children and/or spouse? These are all things that we have a tendency to put off until tomorrow and yet when tomorrow comes we say "I'll get to it tomorrow" TODAY is the day. You will be surprised at what little time it actually takes to make these calls when you are finished! You can FLY! You can do this! Have fun and be proud of yourself for being a part of the Super Cruise through the Holidays!"

My list for today
breakfast
DS dressed
empty WM & DW
DH up
make lunch (might cheat and buy today

later
mission
sort bills (actually managed to do some yesterday - just 2 files and the huge pile on the spare room floor to go!)
dinner
finish ironing
put washing away
1 load in WM
declutter dining table
s&s
shine sink
roundup of everyone's day
bed on time

See you all later!

optimistletoemumma · 04/12/2009 08:08

I think that's enough for now...

That'll do for now, see you later

StainlessSteelCat · 04/12/2009 09:09

Thanks for the coffee MC - was much needed this morning. Managed an early night last night and feel vaguely alive rather than half dead today, so here goes
I've kept my sink routine going, and it is a good feeling to get up in the morning and think "oh, I did manage to get something done yesterday" ... so am full of resolve to keep onwards and upwards.

today's list:

mission: will combine with hoovering downstairs, will hoover every surface I can find
super mission: plasterers and dentist
wash up
washing (1 load already on)
pack for weekend away
fill car with petrol
clothes away (really will today ... maybe)
get DS to tidy up
work (hahahah) and paperwork

I like to be optimistic! will be back all to soon to hide from it all

havingarudolphreindeer · 04/12/2009 09:14

MC You are such a good leader to do a round up for us. Bless you and thanks for the tea, much needed as usual.

I am also glad I'm not the only one who has not done anything Christmassy (although puds are ready to steam, bit late but if Delia can do them at the beg of Dec, so can I!) Not going to worry though, part of my keep doing stuff and eventually it'll get done.

Having a Xmas party with baby group on Sunday so off to get my food contributions from the market and a christmassy t-shirt for DS (and I might squeeze a coffee in too)

DEM Shaun the Sheep seems to be the new 'thing', even my Dad is watching it and he has not children in the house! I must check it out. We currently have Timmy Time on, which is really more for me than DS

WTD Well done on first day. It's been great to hear your updates from interview to starting. Did they think you cool?

OM Get thee to Tescos woman. Remember a big cake does help it go much smoother.

I must go as need to make bed and S&S before I leave the house.

MrsDingDongMerrily · 04/12/2009 09:49

Phew, in 40 minutes I have done everything on that list, plus got something out of the freezer for tea. I would never have been able to do so much so quickly pre-Flying, so I have you ladies to thank (I assume we are all ladies?). Especially MC (thank you for the roundup, I had pretty well given up hope of working out who was who any more). I even had time for a cup of tea.

swanriver · 04/12/2009 10:30

v.sorry ds1 (9) has just posted a silly message whilst I was upstairs nstead of doing maths.

Now personal ironing mission

Plutothatpresentdown · 04/12/2009 11:58

What a great round up MC

Good ole DH walked in the door last night and rustled up a pasta so takeaway wasn't required .We're on a bit of a budget...anyway the whole witching hour and running to and fro from clubs is going to get very interesting when I'm back at school so I really need to sort my evening routines. Usually we lift share to clubs but that wasn't possible yesterday. DH works long hours and I know we're going to feel a bit ragged round the edges in January. I wish there was a solution.

So far I have a better day today but I think I'm going to be a fledgling flyer for a very long tome. It is just so haaaaard!

Today

Done

butchers
dry cleaners
made sheperds pie

to do
chase late Amazon order
sort out babysitter for next week
ironing (no surprises that's on my list)
w/m on / laundry on airer

There's loads more I need to do and I'd like to do but I need to get a bit of perspective - the remaining things on my list for today will be enough.

PositivelyFestive · 04/12/2009 12:10

to SW's DS. Head down in those workbooks, or mum might swish a feather duster your way!!

MC - Round up was brilliant thank you. I am totally confused and am an original poster back in August, so don't know how all the newer peoplpe can keep a track of everyone!

Typing from work, so just a quickie!

Between jobs just run into town and did some filler present shopping! First step so far! Must go down to cellar this weekend and dig out Christmas cards that I buy every year in January to save money, then forget I have them and buy more in December.

MrsD - Wow you are flying! Well done.

After work today I must:
Go to PO with a parcel
Phone about my naff hoover problem and get it fixed!
Meeting at 2pm where I am going to complain about DD3s school.

Must dash now, or I will be behind before I have even started!

Stillcountingthebaubles · 04/12/2009 12:12

Just flapping in a lopsided sort of way to say "hello again" and to thank everyone for their very kind "welcome back" messages and good wishes. Much appreciated [sniff] and reciprocated [double sniff].

Feeling even better today although finding it hard to crack on as dd home with cough (and she was up half the night with it too) and whole place in a state.

Sorry not to catch up with everyone individually (will try and do so at weekend)

Hope Mellie's dd OK???

xxx

swanriver · 04/12/2009 12:31
