Jks what about those airbeds? Some are quite a decent height, would they be any good?

There seems to be a smell of wee coming from somewhere in my living room and i can't find the source of it. I've tried spraying Febreeze everywhere but to be honest now all i've got is wee being mingled with lavender

mmm Alice, nice!

Well we borrowed an airbed at Christmas and it deflated under us so we had rubbish sleep so i've been put off!

We have a spare double mattress so i just need a frame. some on ebay are about the 20quid mark which is about right given that once we have another baby we'll have to get rid of it again. or at least dismantle it and put it in the shed for a decade few years.

We seem to have bought cheap double beds so many times over the years i find it frustrating, then we move and get rid of them. then need them again later on!
we only still have the mattress as DH bought it for his/our first bed and it was v expensive (for his bad back) so he's insisted on holding onto it through various moves - even when it's been totally in the way!

alicecrail · 28/06/2009 07:50

Good morning slatterns

No list today as we are with the horses all day. My first dressage test is at 10.20am and my second is at 2.20pm.

I hope everyone has a good day

cikecaka · 28/06/2009 08:45

Good luck with Today AC,
Well my DS is 13 today, cant believe where the time has gone, DH and DS are heading to AC/DC this afternoon, so it will be just DDs and myself for the day.

Parties went very well, sun shone all day and they had a ball! Went back to basics with them (apart from the bouncy castle), they played pass the parcel, musical statues, pin the shopping bag on cecelia (variation of pin the tail on the donkey that DD1 drew and used blu-tac on the bag).

But my poor kitchen, going to sort that out now (even though I have no energy), and that will be me, think I will take the girls out for lunch!

TO DO
sing Happy Birthday to DS
Clean Kitchen
Bath DD3

pushmepullyou · 28/06/2009 09:07

We are trying to have a family focused weekend. SmallBlessings we can start our own chat thread if you want, like Berrie Oggs etc
No wonder you are grumpy if you've found nits!
Touch wood we haven't experienced those but we have had a few run ins with worms, which drives me mad because I do everything, and we are all abit OCD about handwashing!

Anyway had a really bad day today firstly no milk etc for breakfast, so stupidly I starved so the kids could eat any remaining pancakes
trigger migraine
went to Tesco
came home, had lunch
THEN dd2 managed to get herself locked in her room,
no locks the handle broke, I tried kicking it, unscrewing handle nothing worked
rang dh who was oout on call,
took him at least 30mins to get home,
poor dd2 is screaming because she needs the potty and won't go in her pants and all I could do was watch through the window, while being sick due to migraine!
dh finally got home and and had to use a crow bar to get door open and dd2 is crying now because her 'pants were all wetty'
Meanwhile roast chicken cooked potatoes boiled, no veg, just gravy and I was so hungry I couldn't wait although noone else cared

The house feels like the heating has been on its so clamy so going outside for some air, roll on Tuesday 12noon

And Smallblessings I got an e-mail from my aunt asking me not to keep the dcs from my dad

MuppetsMuggle · 28/06/2009 19:44

Plum about the email from your Aunt.
Hope you feel better soon.

SB I have worked really hard to keep DD nit free but i've found out from the nursery that one of the kids who my DD is friends with her mother doesn't bother to de-nit her DD hair so soon as i get mine nit free she gets them again grrr. will be so glad when the summer holidays are here, i will be able to get rid of them and for good.

smallblessings · 28/06/2009 20:27

Plum You sound like you have a had aright day of it too! Are you ok? Shall we start a thread?

JKS I'm not on FB, don't need another addiction but if it is anything like Zootycoon(build & manage your own Zoo) it is very addictive
