CWWM - it's hard when they're so young in this heat.

Well feeling v smug, cooked the casserole & mash for boys tea, lots left for DH & me, going to add some carrots as we'd run out before.
So DH rings, shall we go out for dinner/takeaway? 'No Honey, I've cooked dinner ready for you!' !!!

You may remember i 'properly tidied toys' earlier...dunno why, the playroom is a mess after 3 toddlers were let loose in there!

Went to my college meeting today, and have been granted support for my next 2 years so in lesson I have someone sitting with me taking notes

Also found I can do some good stuff in my flat that I don't need to give written permission for.

Ali - I think I may well keep DS in nursery for a bit when first on maternity leave (i.e. before baby arrives). From Sept DS could go to Metherin nursery in the village pms/ pre-school ams so will have to deal with baby plus taking him there and back and have him full time on Fridays. Lots of scary big changes!

Re ironing, if you hang stuff up straight from the line you should be able to get away with only ironing work shirts really. Thats what we do here.

Peg stuff out upside down so you don't get marks on the shoulders. Give jeans and thick things a shake and smooth them down before you put them on the line and they should dry crease free. Leaving washing in the basket makes the creases.

Had migrane today so came home from work this pm to lay in a darkened room. Have just read first page from today so apologies if I have missed anything.

I hope everyone is ok. i've only read a bit (too long).Please let me know if there is anything major I've missed.

Right ironing. I sent mine out from 34 weeks preggers until V was about six weeks which was fab! Now I have the ironing board set up in baby's room (shes in with me) so I try and get some done at least every other day but the pile is always still high. I don't iron everything, no sheets, pyjamas etc. I used to iron as I went along and find this way easier TBH.

I used to have the ironing board setup in the nursery too - before ds1 moved in there - also had the tumble dryer there too as we didn't have space in the kitchen and could leave a window open in there safely.
having a laundry room and the board up permanently helped, lol!

Will have to drop off card tomorrow, feel bad as today is the birthday but once bum hits sofa it takes an earthquake to get me up

WME - I feel your pain, DS is eating everything and anything he comes across at the moment.

Thanks for all the ironing tips - I've still not done any!! We use all the minimising tactics already HMHB! I just need to get my arse in gear, pure and simple.

We bought a UV tent for the garden so that DS can spend more time out there, it's big enough to put a paddling pool underneath. All set up this afternoon, but DH tried to take it down about half an hour ago and can't do it. PMSL at him flapping around in the garden, he got in a huff so it's sat in the dining room at the moment taking up all the room. I did suggest he looked at the instructions, apparently they are 'no help' I will take it down in the morning while he's at work which will really piss him off

Fed up today nobhead DP threw a tantrum last night according to him he does not have to help if Lola wakes in the night I wouldn't mind but I never ask him to help usually but after I fed her she just wouldn't settle so I asked if he would try winding her so he had a massive tantrum.
I am so angry with him but will stop ranting or will fill the thread with swear words .
