Hello all

Wasting i had to giggle at the mexican tache

Cikecaka you were flying yesterday!! I think i need to get a timer.

Jks at your DH having a list, I was working today and DH had DD and i left him a list of jobs to do too

Muppets sounds like you had a lovely time

We went to a hog roast last night which was nice, but DD got over excited and overtired and was a bit naughty and wouldn't settle enough to eat any dinner. I think she ate about 4 slices of ham and some strawberries Late night home for all of us, so we are all a bit bleh today.

I want to get back into a routine this week as things seemed to have slipped a bit.

I failed last weeks mission Does anyone want to choose one this week?

JustKeepSwimming · 26/07/2009 16:54

I've done well with the week's mission, hardly anything in the laundry baskets now and i've done extra stuff

WME - yes lol at the tache

Well DH not doing so well on his list, think he needs more inspiration, lol! or easier jobs....

The sun has appeared so I have hung the washing out for the first time in 3 days!!

Alice that would be great, what I am actually looking for is a recipe for a chocolate biscuit/cookie so that my DCs can use the animal shape cutters that MIL bought them, all the recipes I have involve shaping the biscuits with your hands.

CC I off to do 15 mins of clutter clearing, will let you know how it goes. This is my mission for the week.

wasting at your DS sleeping through, my DS3 decided it would be a good idea to practice his crawling skills for an hour and a half from 3am and then got up at 5.45am

Go to post office

alicecrail · 27/07/2009 10:31

peppa you may find it best to just do an ordinary biscuit recipe then adding the chocolate chips as decoration before you put them in the oven.

Here is a recipe i used to make easter biscuits (i decorated them with icing pens)

100g (4oz) butter
100g caster sugar
1 egg
225g (8oz) plain flour

Preheat oven to 180c/350f/gas 4

Grease baking trays
Put butter and sugar in a bowl, mix til light and fluffy,
Add the egg, mix well.
Sift flour into the bowl, gently mix, then knead mix into a smooth dough.
Wrap in cling film, chill in fridge for 15 mins.
Roll out dough on floured surface.
Cut out shapes, cook for 10mins.

They are nothing special, but are ideal for doing shapes. Good luck

My list:
Everyone up done
Everyone breakfast done
Everyone dressed done
Empty dishwasher
Dry washload (was washed overnight) done
Put another load to wash
Sweep stairs done
Tidy hall done
Sweep hall done
Take all clean washing upstairs
Sweep kitchen/conservatory done
Mop hall, kitchen and conservatory done
Dry second washload
Lunch
Muck out one stable
Muck out field
Ride one horse
Cook dinner
Put clean washing away
Tidy living room

MuppetsMuggle · 27/07/2009 14:06

Plum - I will be needing your cake making expertise advice end of august I want to attempt to make DP birthday cake
and I've never done it before

ithinkmydaughterispeppapig · 27/07/2009 14:12

pbm your DH sounds just like mine, I remember once he went to do the weekly shop and he came back with cakes, chocolate and large jars of coffee but nothing for dinner!! He is good at lots of things but not the shopping, thanks goodness for online supermarkets because if I don't feel like going to the shop I can get it delivered.

Right I really need to clean up the kitchen, I have been distracted by MN, DS3 waking from nap and putting on a Maisy DVD for DD. Can you tell I don't really want to do it???

MuppetsMuggle · 27/07/2009 14:16

IThink Plum Sounds like DP - useless at doing the weekly shop.
