Alice - I am planning to pamper today. I did manage 5 mins yesterday to pluck my eyebrows and file my nails, but I too am a little rough at the edges DH is out tonight at a work thing so once DS is asleep then I will have some time to myself.

Hi everyone and welcome to all the new slatterns I didn't post a list yesterday but went for a walk in the sun with the dc and did lots of baking. Also made 2 lots of candles.

Pampering night sounds good. Ive already started on my feet this week and they're looking better already. I am so embarrassed of them I never wear open toe shoes. which is a nightmare in the summer....I have to make do with dolly shoes instead of sandles or flip flops!
Unfortunately I can't get any ready rolled pastry as my purse is as bare as my cupboards! Also I live miles from the nearest shop that would sell it. So I'll have to risk my own. I might post in receipes/food and see what I get.

Kids I do 8oz flour, 4 ox butter 3 tbsp cold water, pinch of salt. Mix salt into flour, rub the butter into the flour until it looks like breadcrumbs then add the water a little at a time until it forms a dough. I put it in the fridge for at least 30mins before rolling it out. HTH (that's shortcrust btw, I buy puff!)

Obviously I don't mean 4 ox! 4 oz butter

Lovely sunshine for the walk back from nursery, need to grab some lunch and start the girls bedroom

Persuade DS1 to clean out hamster before I rehome it He is nearly 13 (my son not the hamster) and he promised to clean it out every week without me having to nag him. I always end up taking care of the pets, but NOT this time. Rant over!!

Welcome all the newbies, though feel like one at the minute because it is so long since I posted. DH is on hols this week so being day trips here and there, never again will I holiday at home as kids are still doing different camps which means we are still held to time. DH has taken older 3 to Harry Potter (booked tickets online so hope it works!!!

CWWM - glad DS was good - i well up at the silliest things - eg the look on ds1's face when we watched Milkshake for the first 10+mins was so priceless it made me cry!

Hello ladies

cikecaka sounds like a good week

Well, i have just had a bath, loads of conditioner on my hair, face mask (yummy one that costs £2 for a tube from superdrug but works really well) shaved my legs and plucked my eyebrows. I am now feeling vaguely human again after a quite exhausting day. DD is getting all her canine teeth through at once and they are the worst so far. She spent most of the morning just wimpering

On our own tomorrow, so unlikely to get too much done. DH is going to Devon for the day for work (we are in suffolk) and then he is on racecourse duty tomorrow evening if he is back in time, on call all night and has got calls to make at 3.30 saturday morning. So he is not going to be in the best mood, poor thing.

Sorry I haven't been online. Been out all day and then by the time I got home - FIL and BIL were round. Too tired to do anything now!

Morning all, no list today and we are both still in our pyjamas

Yes we're still in pj's too.

All I have done is get dd1 ready for school and done lunches for her and dh, oh and fed dd's as well.

I feel a slobby morning coming on for me and dd2

Wow! that is practically fly lady compared with us! We are up, and we have had breakfast, oh and i have built a train track

I am feeling really refreshed and motivated today as DS3 only woke once in the night so I got several good hours of sleep

All the decorating is still driving me insane though, I plan to get on with painting the lounge today and this evening I hope to finish it.

It's the last day of term and DS1 and DS2 are really excited I am not so excited, I am still trying to figure out ways to keep them entertained for nearly 7 weeks.
