Just had a hamster biting experience with DD, I told her not to out her hand in the cage - I'd just put some fresh food in, and what did she do, whips her hand in and frightens the hamster and blood everywhere and now she's decided she doesn't like him and is currently nursing her poor finger in a wet flannel lol.

What to do to get her excited about her hamster again? any ideas?

Good morning slatterns

cwwm they really do grow up so quick. My dd will be 2 in october and i'm still in denial about the fact i was pregnant, let alone have had the baby which is now a toddler!

Lots to do today housework wise, so we are just having a quiet home day.

Everyone up done
Everyone dressed done
Everyone breakfast done
Put washload on done
Empty dishwasher
Clear hall floor
Clear kitchen/conservatory floor
Sweep hard floors
Mop hard floors
Lunch
Put clean washing away
Put all toys away that are dotted around the house
Pick up all washing that is dotted around the house
Chuck newspapers out
Shake out throws
Hoover living/dining room
Do horses
Cook dinner
DD bath and bed - cut DD's toenails!

JustKeepSwimming · 13/07/2009 08:56

CWWM - sure there is a recognised term for it - kind of like 'empty-nesters' for when kids leave one stage and move onto another. it's a time when we realise time is passing and they are growing up

Strange morning with ds1 wanting to sleep on and off from 5.15 to 7.30, weird. not sure he's well tbh but woke up eventually and ate breakfast so has gone off to nursery....

Mon:

Morning all.

CWWM I know the feeling its DD last week at preschool, my baby isn't a baby no more and I'm soo broody for another one, but its not possible at the moment.

JKS I hope DS is okay.

Well i've been awake since 4am, woke up due to the hamster running around its cage grr and couldn't go back to sleep.
My list today:
Get us up & dressed DONE
Breakfast DONE
School run DONE
Cuppa Tea DOING

Hoover
School run
Ironing
Clean hamster cage

I'm not pushing it housework wise.
School

jenduck · 13/07/2009 10:11

Morning all. Hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was mixed - misunderstanding with my parents on Saturday which got blown up out of all proportion, but now seems to be sorted. Sunday was better, even managed to get loads of stuff on Ebay, so should help declutter the place a bit!

JKS, hope your DS is OK. It is a mother's lot to worry about her children, no matter how big they get & how far from the nest they fly!

Today:

Me, DH & DS up DONE
Shower DONE
Brekkie for all DONE
Translation addresses DO NEXT
Walk to town
Lunch with pg friend
DS tea

Have a good day all!

The last time I saw FAQ she was over on Style and Beauty choosing clothes to get married in! Well sort of, renewal of vows with her DH

alicecrail · 13/07/2009 13:13

Everytime i am on facebook, she is on there too, perhaps she is spending her time on a fb farm?

claireybee · 13/07/2009 13:14

Hmm...is exciting lovelife good enough reason not to post on slatterns? Majority vote

As you can tell, I am very busy today!

alicecrail · 13/07/2009 13:23

Well, i suppose if you were up all night with an exciting lovelife then you wouldn't have the energy to do anything so perhaps being on the slatterns would be pointless?

JustKeepSwimming · 13/07/2009 17:44
