DS woke up at 5.55am. Couldn't just wait that extra 5 mins. Still, that counts as sleeping through I suppose as he didn't go back to sleep after his feed.

Ali - I will make it one of my ambitions to one day spend £50 on cheese.
I referred to it as the 'Hello baby' party, or 'welcome to the family' party, but everyone referred to it as naming day, so I started to as well. It is irritating, as he was already named, and that's a misunderstanding of what a christening is too.

I was far off finishing my list last night, but we caught up on the last two episodes of 24! So I can go join the thread now. Also shared a rather nice bottle of rose, which I don't often do these days.

Hope Thomas Day went well Flame.

Today -

  • Breakfast, clear up
  • Dress DS
  • Wash pots
  • Mop floor
  • Washing - nappies
  • Put clothes for tonight on radiator to dry
  • Face mask and eyebrows
  • Bag up jumble
  • Check bus times
  • Text MIL what time to come round
  • Read and join 24 thread
  • DS nap?
  • Lunch, clear up
  • Make sure everywhere is 'tidy' before MIL comes round

That'll do for now.

Morning everyone. DD3 fell asleep at 6.15 yesterday evening, other children were with my sister. So I had everywhere spotless when they came home before 9, ready to sit down and watch Hells Kitchen! They made so much noise when they came in that they woke DD3. I went up to read my book at 10 but she was still awake at 11 and DH is exhausted as he is working very long hours so I got up with her and watched Toy Story 1 and Madagascar 2, she eventually fell asleep on one couch at 2.20 and I had to sleep on the other couch.

Worst part of this is that while I was reading my book in bed DH and rest of DC messed all my hardwork. Cant scream as DD3 is still asleep on couch! Apologies for long rant Will post a list in a minute when I have had some tea!!!

£50 on cheese!

Right, that's now on my list of things to do in my life. Sounds fantastico!

DP stayed out late again, so I got up and made coffee and made his lunch for today. Aren't I nice? We're having people round for dinner tonight so he may have to have a little nap after work It's a good thing that he's socialising with people at his new work, the more he does the sooner I can join them. ATM I can't go because for about half the people there the conversation would go like this:
'Hi, I'm DP's girlfriend'
'Who?'
and what would be weird.

So today.
Make coffee and tea and lunch DONE
Drink tea DONE
Order Laithwaites wine with special discount DONE
Defend self against accusations of being a doormat DONE
More tea KETTLE IS ON
Get email saying I didn't get job DONE
Drink more tea and MN
Run?
(shower after run)
(post about run on MN)
Hoover
Tidy
Quickly clean bathroom
Prepare stuff for tonight
Take stuff to charity shop?
Buy things I have forgotten
Make self look nice

no she's got a little car - but she'd put the back seat down (as she'd got loads of stuff she needed to take to the tip in the last days as well) and we managed to get about 6 bags in - only 4 left outside now so think once the weather dries up I might just go and empty those bags into the brown bin.

FAQ you should get that shoulder looked at it if doesn't start to feel better soon, sounds horrid.

TA - no-one's going to accuse you of being a doormat - 'tis nice to do lovely things for people, even hungover DH/P's. And also no bad thing to get a favour or two in the bank

CC - what a nightmare for you, can you rope your DC's in to help?

It's all raining and horrid here so no chance of getting any washing outside

Can I just say in my defense about the cheese thing, we are feeding 30 people and lots of us like cheese a lot. I can't bear to run out of food at parties!

Today
Up dressed and showered - up and dressed, shower later
Shave legs, deal with eyebrows etc etc - later
DS up and dressed - done
Breakfast x 3 - done

Take bin out
Pack DS bag for weekend

Morning all

Hooray to no section CWWM.

I've just cut my own hair!! It looks ok but I need to wash it later so will reserve full judgement until I've washed and dried it.

Trilian we use laithwaites, in about 300 bottles of wine (and about 2 thousand that my parents have had!) I've only tasted one I didn't like. And I always thought I didn't much like white wine, but I'd obviously only tried shit white wine before because theirs is all very drinkable. It works out really well for us because we are on quite a tight budget but both enjoy wine and buying it through them means it usually works out at around £4 a bottle for really nice wine. We do 4 seasons so don't choose what we get but ocassionally save up and put in an extra order if we find one we really like.

Sorry you're tired Flame, MS is always worse when you're tired too.

Right, the list:

All up, dressed, breakfasted etc -DONE
Wash dishes - DONE
Wipe worktops - DONE
Clean out fridge - DONE
Clean Microwave - DONE
Hoover - Downstairs DONE
Put washing in machine - DONE
Hang washing out -
Try to deal with stink coming from nappy bucket - DONE (well I chucked some zoflora in, that'll do til I wash them tomorrow. Why does teething make wee smell so strong??)
Write shopping list - DOING
Cut hair - DONE
Call Tax Credit people -
Put out bins/recycling - DONE
Post birthday card -
Venture into cupboard to find wrapping paper -
Lunch -
Look in freezer to see what we can have for dinner -
Decide what to cook for dinner -
Cook dinner-

Well, looks like I got off to a flying start this morning I'll obviously be able to sit on my bum for the rest of the day
