Hi everyone

Welcome Momma, just join in!

WME - is it much more expensive than supermarket milk? i have this feeling that it is but have never enquired
I know the milkman goes along this road so would be easy to add us i think.

CWWM - DH let him watch the Were-Rabbit film and he loved it. he's 2.
The bread we often have has them on the packaging so it reminds him all the time, even though i'd deleted the film from Sky+.

TrillianAstra · 14/04/2009 09:30

According this this it's about 60p per pint to have milk delivered in my area. I'm impressed, thought it would be more than that. My parents still get milk delivered, we just buy big plastic things of it in Tesco.

Welcme Momma23 - to make yourself feel as if you've done lots already don't forget to include 'read MN' and 'join Slatterns thread' on your list, so you'll have at least two things ticked off already!

Comewhinewithme · 14/04/2009 09:32

JKS they have the w&g dvd's in our local morrisons for about 4.00 each .

Welcome momma23 .

CC I am not looking forward to doing dds bedroom either .

Glad ds is better WME.

Right I have put a DVD on so I can get upstairs done in peace .

Wish me luck ladies .

No Morrisons near here that i know of

TA - that's a good site, they deliver here, will check with DH later and maybe get us set up. Do they still deliver in glass bottles that you put back out? or in plastic ones? And only in 1 pints or bigger?

Right have dug out old list to look at/add to:

  • pack for trip to parents DONE
  • go to parents (Thurs) DONE
  • sort out Easter baking ingredients to take with us (nests & butterfly cakes/fairy cakes i think) DONE (& baked!)

  • plan dinners out doing

  • get matching brass letterbox for front door
  • buy some more cheap photo albums
  • contact neighbour to sort out fixing fence over the summer
  • sort orchestra social for 21 April Ongoing
  • fit new loo seat
TrillianAstra · 14/04/2009 09:52

I know my parents get 1 pint glass bottles that you wash and put back out (eco-friendly!) and the listings seem to be only in 1 pint, so I assume it's proper milk bottles all the way.

JustKeepSwimmingInChocolate · 14/04/2009 09:57

TA - that'll be good for us, less plastic in our recycling bags, will be interesting to see how much milk we actually get through, feels like a lot.

Flamesparrow · 14/04/2009 09:58

So so so so so so tired.

Got in at 3.20am - train delayed coming back from London.

I have been in bed by 10pm most nights lately

DC have been fabulous and fended for themselves for a while until I was properly conscious.

I am letting a friend in my house today. I don't do that.

cikecaka · 14/04/2009 10:01

Good luck,FS with letting your friend in.! . I still havent moved off the chair.

Flamesparrow · 14/04/2009 10:16

I planned to run round and attempt to straighten things before she comes, but it is going to be very much au natural. She has promised not to judge, but possibly to do dishes

TrillianAstra · 14/04/2009 10:23

How was the show?

I like going to messy houses, it makes me feel better about the state of mine normally. Although I still try to tidy if I have people coming to mine. Double standards, obviously.

Flamesparrow · 14/04/2009 10:26

Amazing Costumes alone were incredible. I still love Jason Donovan from being a prepubescent fan ooh and the guy playing Felicia had an incredible body

She is very very clean. I wouldn't mind if mine was just mess, but it isn't . (Still not moved off here, still in last night's clothes because I came in and just passed out ). She is also the nicest person in the world though, and I know that if I am ever going to get over my letting people know me as me, not hiding bits, then she is the one to do it with.

PlumBumMum · 14/04/2009 10:38

Good luck Flamesparrow

Hi everyone else, welcome momma23, JKS nice to have you back glad you enjoyed your break

Well still no improvement in the Plum household actually things have taken a turn for the worse and I'm off to hang a bell outside the door
dd2 has Hand foot & mouth
dh now has what ever I have
ds & dd1 are now just joining in, in generally feeling unwell

so dh is going to go out and do any bits I had planned for today aswell as get the remainder of fencing planks for my flower bed and seperating veg patch

Need to go fing one of my lists not that I'm going to do much today

JustKeepSwimmingInChocolate · 14/04/2009 10:43

Flame - glad you had a good time but at 3.20 i would NOT be able to stay awake till then (10 is late for me )
Hope friend enjoys your washing up, lol!

(when i first had ds1 and was slightly shell-shocked by the whole thing a friend came, minus her DCs and did laundry, made tea, cleaned kitchen, etc. fab!!!)
(i look back now and feel a tad embarrassed as one teeny baby really isn't that much hard work )

Plum - not good. dose everyone up with whatever they/you can have and down more orange juice/vit c tablets.
