FAQ you've done tons today!

JKS - yay for DS2!

Plum - that is a nightmare. DH and I are in dispute with Homebase right now about our kitchen that was fitted last summer. We paid cash for it - no way we would do it now with places going bust left right and center. But until recently it wouldn't occur to me to worry. I hope you get something out of it, but at least you do have it rather than nothing.

HMHB - sounds like you had a fab time, Bath is lovely.

Today
Up showered and dressed - done
Breakfast x 3 - done
Dishwasher on - done
Fold clean clothes - done
Catch up with e-mail to friends - done
Hang jumpers to dry - done
Lunch x 2 - done
Unpack shop when it arrives - done
Go to floor shop - done
Go to Homebase and shout at them - done
Make dinner- went out instead
Dinner x 3 - done
Clear up after dinner - not needed
Tidy round before bed - can't be bothered!
Book skiing holiday for next year! - tomorrow
Research stairgates - need to discuss with DH, not sure what will go on our stairs

JustKeepSwimmingInChocolate · 07/04/2009 07:14

Morning everyone

HMHB - hope you're right! not too worried just more annoyed that i did the Wii weigh-in and the weight is on the graph now, silly.
Bath is lovely, used to spend time there, glad you had a good weekend.

AliB - think lots of people are more wary of buying anything big at the moment. my parents had ordered furniture from mfi but luckily only paid a deposit which they got back. but tbh they wanted the 'stuff', esp as they had booked a handyman to put it all together and fit it (office stuff). they were told they could go in and buy whatever was there but that was only the pre-assembled stuff which they couldn't carry or transport.

Me up first today, 6.20 which isn't too bad but prefer my lie-in days, lol.

Today:

  • all up3up, dressed & breakfasted
  • ds2 quick nap
  • tidy pre-cleaners
  • all of us to coffee morning thing at friend's house
  • me & boys home for lunch
  • dh to work
  • ds2 nap
  • friends round for afternoon
  • tea
  • boys bath & bed
  • dinner & quiet night

Morning all

I am going to have a busy stressful day today i just know it. Dh is away tonight working in Doncaster and he was on call last night so was up and down all bloody night, so i have slept so badly too. I made cakes last night but was doing a million other things at the same time so left them in too long and they're all dry and horrid. DD up early again. My sewing project has to be in by 12pm and i've still got so much to do, thought it might be managable but then i realised i need to get some photo's printed out from my phone and no idea how, and DH sleeping so can't ask him.......AAARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH

i HOPE EVERYONE HAS A LOVELY SUNNY DAY [BSMILE] (f*ck it, i left the caps on!!!)

PlumBumMum · 07/04/2009 07:40

Blondies, are a peanutbutter and white chocolate Brownie(Rachael Allen), dh loved them but then hes a Crunchy nut nutter(as we say)

Okay bad mum time (Ican't believe I did this) yesterday dd2 went to potty, told me, very proud, we flushed & washed, then realised she had no tights on, got the tights no pants?
Searched everywhere for pants
couldn't find them,
so this morning I was going to amuse you all with find missing pants on my list
But when lifting dd2 out of her cot there was a big lump under her arm

She had pulled the pants right up her waist under her arms, obv 2 legs in one leg hole, they didn't get a bath last night so I just chased round and got her in her pjs

Can't believe I didn't notice

alicecrail · 07/04/2009 08:25

plum that is really funny!!!!
Not a bad mum at all

JustKeepSwimmingInChocolate · 07/04/2009 08:42

PMSL Plum so funny that you didn't notice!

Flame - welcome. don't think we can promise cleanliness but maybe near-cleanliness !?
or maybe just someone else to talk to when enthusiasm wanes

Alice - all sounds stressful! re photos, maybe lug phone into computer and see if you can transfer them? then print from there? see if you can find a cable that will plug into phone with a USB end on the other end?
bad news re cakes

Think i better start on packing list today even if i don't do any actual packing

Today:

  • all up, dressed & breakfasted DONE
  • ds2 quick nap Doing
  • tidy pre-cleaners DONE
  • get some laundry started...
  • all of us to coffee morning thing at friend's house

FAQinglovely · 07/04/2009 08:52

oooo 'ello Flame - ech what JustKeepSwimming says

"don't think we can promise cleanliness but maybe near-cleanliness !?
or maybe just someone else to talk to when enthusiasm wanes "

Lovely sunny day here today, so hoping to get lots done today - at the moment would rather grab another hour or so on the sofa LOL

Just going to make a coffee and have a fag before I make my list

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 07/04/2009 08:54

wash 2 loads of clothes - one going round now
dry at least 1 load
make dinner
clear kitchen floor
clean kitchen floor
buy present

Ooh and have Talked with DC. We now have a home charter which apparently means DD will be angelic. DS signed it but has no idea what it is imo

Flamesparrow · 07/04/2009 08:54

Near cleanliness is a hell of a step up from now!

FAQinglovely · 07/04/2009 09:01

well there you go then - this could be the place for you

it's kind of motivating when you see other people ticking off their lists (well I find it is) LOL.

OP posts:
TrillianEAstraEgg · 07/04/2009 09:11

Do tell us about this 'home charter' Flame, is it like the laws of the land for your house?

I like the knickers story PBM

Alice - if you're going into town quite often places like Jessops have a machine that you can put the memory card from yur phone into

Not a very difficult list today, just need to get arse in gear to go for run so I'm back in time for grocery delivery

Go for a run (soon)
Post about run on MN
Shower etc
Wait for Tesco to be delivered
Pack away Tesco
Lunch
Wait for microwave to be delivered (I burnt out the old one )
Make soup and freeze
Apply for job
Make dinner

Flamesparrow · 07/04/2009 09:13

I asked DD why she was nice and polite to her teacher but a cow to me (in better language), and she said because the school charter says so.

So we sat and wrote out a home version. Basically it says that she isn't allowed to be a brat or she gets time out

TrillianEAstraEgg · 07/04/2009 09:17

I just saw it. Is it a scroll, with swirls and things?

Soundsike a big achievement. You need to put that on your list so you have already ticked something off! I usually start with 'check MN in case anything important is going on' so my lists have a done on them even before I get off the sofa
