Good morning everyone.
Car still out in limbo but dh refused to let me abandon him first thing. Anyway, doesn't matter will wait till Sat.

Made jam tarts with ds2 rather experimental looking.
Two kids dressed
Washing hung out
Geraniums potted last night
Bath swiped last night
Menu planned last night in control diary!!!!

To Do
Turn off telly, which has been on since 8.30.
Do all things I didn't do yesterday...esp deliveries and parcels.

I think today is not going to be pamper day but muddle through and make the most of it day.

TMH when you make your casserole what do you add to sausages and tomatoes?

swanriver · 19/12/2008 10:09

Also must buy new catflap as old one is broken, can't block it up as cat loves night prowls, and an icy wind is now blowing through kitchen perpetually. Still means no need to go outside for fresh air.

intravenousmulledwine · 19/12/2008 10:25

Morning all.

Overdid it a bit yesterday and felt rubbish by teatime so am going to try to be more sensible today and not rush round doing everything.

Hope everyone is feeling festive

Hi all.

Feeling v tierd after a fantastic night out (I felt young and carefree again - for 1 evening). Felt old and careworn this morning, trying to get Dcs out of the house on time! Last day of term here too. Going to a friends after school.
I have plenty of flying to do but am feeling too Christmassy . Have a lovely day everyone.

AndaGrouchyBahHumbugtoyou · 19/12/2008 12:44

Hello

Just got back from Ed's Speech and language assessment and dropping him ioff at school. Seems like he has many of the characteristics of a child with dyspraxia so all the relevant bodies will be informed and we can work out how to tackle it. (oh, he has the vocab and comprehension abilities of a 10 yr old! so he's bright but clumsy )

Then I call DH who was close to tears He's sick of where he works and the management attitude. They can't make decsions but they can expect him to come in when they don't pay him and then they have cancelled his planned holiday. He wants out. I agree but.......finances etc etc. I'm sure we can work it out and maybe I could get a McJob locally if needs be.

New Year's resolution #1...a steady going on please

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse · 19/12/2008 13:05

Groucy well done for getting a diagnosis for Ed and well done on having such a bright boy . I dont know what to say regardsing DH, but a McJob may be on the cards for me in the new year.

I am a bit of a numpty re the fire it is electric - doh

Mats are in the wash, we got very mudy on our christmas light adventure last night, infact I lost my shoes in the mud

I am going to iron next - no more procrastinating.

Scatty Young and carefree - what is that?

Will be back with progress resport. Going to finnish my tea and MN first though

Hello everybody

Last day of school here. Kids are very excited about it! They broke up at lunch time.

Its mayhem here. We are starting on DD1's bedroom today. Computer has to be disembled and reassembled back downstairs.

(I have no idea what is wrong with me today but I can't actually seem to type very well!)

We have the paint ready to paint her room a nice pinky colour, with a very sweet kitten border. We also have a fabulous new High Sleeper for her which she is Super excited about because it has a desk underneath (and we are totally chuffed about because it was from freecyle!!)

She has some new posters as well...british butterflies, british wild flowers and the entire collection of cats (have you seen the ones you can collect...with a magazine....the ones that have the over exaggerated heads) she has been collecting them and we found a poster with them all listed on it so hopefully she will like that.

I may be offline for a day or so while everything gets moved around, so I'll say hello and goodbye now.

Hope you are all well and I'll catch up soon xx

BiancaCastafiore · 19/12/2008 15:03

You'll be missed Luda but for dd and her new room - she'll love it I'm sure

School is over! I have 3 girls here. They've done a bit of craft (leaving a trail of gliter/sequins ) and have eaten some jelly babies and are now upstairs playing loud Christmas music and dancing by teh sounds of it

I managed to get the house straight this morning. I just need to give the downstairs cloakroom a quick once-over and get teh kids supper on then I'm done for the day.
Dh has cancelled his late job this eve so I'm hoping he'll be home in time to feel up to helping me get all the pressies out and wrapped this evening

AndaGrouchyBahHumbugtoyou · 19/12/2008 16:10

Luda Has DD seen this?

ByThePowerOfBaileys · 19/12/2008 16:16
