Morning all

Today we are going to take a look at how the routine developed

Also if you get the fly emails read the bottom line

So our routines should be:

Morning Routine

  • Get up and get dressed doing your hair and face
  • Make your bed
  • Looking at your posted reminders in the kitchen and bathroom
  • Reading 2 minutes of reminders
  • Recognizing the negative voices and changing them
  • Put out your Hot Spots for 2 minutes
  • 5 Minute Room Rescue (pick any room in the house) set your timer and go!
  • Laundry
  • Mission

Before Bed Routine

  • Keep your sink shining
  • Lay out your clothes for tomorrow
  • Put out your Hot Spot
  • Laundry
  • set a regular bedtime and stick to it

Returned library books
Took out lots of christmas themed books craft etc.
Stopped for coffee and crunchy biscuit.
Bought more sfillers from pound shop, disney happy families (harry potter hfamilies great success because you don't need to read) Prince Caspian action figure.
Lots of cheap jam and strange discounted coffee.
Slogged back home loaded with fruit veg and library books.
Picked up children in nick of time, resolved to stay very calm and gave them lots of choc mini-rolls.
Children now absorbed by various Friday screen activities whilst I unpack shopping
Baked potatoes in oven
Carrots grated

Goal for rest of afternoon
Get DD1 to do violin practice for tomorrow
Talk to everyone in quiet confident tones
Enjoy the fact that its Friday and we are all safe at home together on this rainy afternoon.
Start table laying rota again.
Hang out washing

Hi GO, Tort & Nuclear

swanriver · 28/11/2008 16:28

Grouchy, Very brave to go to the Post Office. I am dreading it. First I have to wrap all presents and write special affectionate dedication for godchildren, nephews, then go to post office and buy jiffybags special boxes right size large markers etc (never have right ones, or at least not where I can find them) come home and address them or worse still write address in post office then line up with 11 parcels to stamp and send all over place. Last year I gave one goddaughter a voucher. It was bliss, just a single envelope. She was thrilled.

TheMadHouse · 28/11/2008 16:34

No plumber yet

ooh just realised -

TheMadHouse · 28/11/2008 16:36

It suits you, but I had figured you out

swanriver · 28/11/2008 16:36

It's infuriating. You can't quite settle to anything because you are waiting. And then they come when you are in the middle of something like tea. Poor you.

grouchyoscar · 28/11/2008 16:46

TMH and for you. I'm a seasoned skinflint and am used to living without GCH but even I'm chilly today. It's colder today than it has been. Plus you're much further north than me

TheMadHouse · 28/11/2008 16:49

Grouchy wouldnt bother me, but we dint have any other heating, so it does get cold and FGS it is only 2 years old

TheMadHouse · 28/11/2008 17:38

tHE PLUMBER IS NOT COMING TONIGHT, SO WILL NOW BE mONDAY.

It is a big job and they need 5 hours - so I have told them no with us having a 2 and 3 year old. I am very

But never mind. DH is painting the kitchen tomorrow and I am taking the boys for a hair trim.

DH is working from home on Monday anyway, as I am going nack for some more injections in my hands

Sorry about the typing - my head is hurting again

Oh no TMH That isn't good. I still haven't put the GCH on. It does get chilly but with the halogen heater on i am kept warm!

School xmas fair was ok. Bit P*ed off with them selling things kids had made.very over priced IMO. DS2 made a cracker out of loo roll tube and he said it has one small sweet in it. They charged £1! And 4 little gift tags made by DD2 in Reception, were 80p! £50 would have been plenty i think.

Antway, we won lots on the chocolate stall and a couple of bottles on the bottle stall.

tortoise · 28/11/2008 18:42

Boots have just phoned. My new cooker now won't be here until 12th Dec! She said it is a problem with the manafacturer getting them out not them and would be the same from any other websites! If i wasn't saving money going through them i would seriously consider testing what she said by ordering from Comet/currys!

BiancaCastafiore · 28/11/2008 18:42

Hello everyone

TMH that's not good at all!
Tort well done on yoru wins I find the Christmas fairs a bit of a nightmare too - ours is in a couple of weeks.
Custard like the name change

I have been at work this morning, very busy.
I haven't done much FLYing in teh house but have tidied up the pots by the front door by planting some nice seasonal plants in them - it's made the house feel more welcoming
Long day tomorrow with late-night opening in teh village where our shop is. Typically no-one else wants to can work for the evening so it falls on me to do it along with the 8 hours I'll already be doing. I am a bit worried about over-doing it after the bug all week so am planning a bath and an early night this evening in preparation.

BiancaCastafiore · 28/11/2008 18:43

Tort

tortoise · 28/11/2008 18:49

Wow Bianca That will be a long day for you. Take it easy tonght. Think of the extra pennies you will earn.

TheMadHouse · 28/11/2008 18:53

Tort That is shocking

Bainca I hope the christmassyness helps the day fly by

I am off upt o Iron

OP posts:
BiancaCastafiore · 28/11/2008 18:54

I have spent the pennies already ...We have been invited to a Christening in a couple of weeks so I have a lively new skirt to wear
I did order a top too (I had a discount code, honest!) but it's huge so will have to go back. I am trying to work out what else I could wear with it from my wardrobe...

tortoise · 28/11/2008 18:57

At least the old cooker is still partly working. Would be awful if i was replacing a completly dead cooker!

bianca Glad you treated yourself with your money.

BiancaCastafiore · 28/11/2008 19:10

..bit naughty to buy new really. I have mostly managed to find some great bargins in our local charity shop to suit my new size but the odd new treat is lovely

Glad you at least have part of a cooker to keep you going. It's not really good enough though.

tortoise · 28/11/2008 19:19

Not to bad buying new if you really need it for a special occasion.
I would like to buy myself something new to wear at xmas but doubt i will. Want new outfits for DC but probably won't get them either. Will have to see how money is in the next week or two!

BiancaCastafiore · 28/11/2008 19:28

I need new trousers for ds for the Christening (he only has a couple of pairs of jeans and they're going though at the knees a bit). I like him in cords so will look in Sainsbury's next time I'm out. Dd seems to have endless amounts of clothes!

tortoise · 28/11/2008 19:32

My DD's have masses of clothes too! mainly from the charity shop. I think they are gentler on clothes than boys although my DS's don't seem to wear theirs out.
DS1 needs some trousers. His belly is too big for most though . I hate him in trackies all the time.

TheMadHouse · 28/11/2008 19:40

Bianca I heart the skirt - very retro. I think a few new things are fine.

I will be doing the chaity shop thing, after my op though!!!

I really am going to iron now, the boys are in bed

OP posts:
BiancaCastafiore · 28/11/2008 19:47

Glad you like it TMH I think it's v nice. It's a really nice fabric too. I have a wrap top in a teal colour which I'll probably wear with it.

My kids are delaying bedtime Dd has yet another late night tomorrow (my parents are taking her to the panto) so this isn't good.

Happy ironing!
