FAQ · 09/09/2008 08:23

today to try and get my house back to some sort of order (how does it descend into chaos so quickly?)

Don't know why but I'm feeling totally unmotivated and crappy, however my house is a tip again and I know that doesn't help my mood (ok it's never "good" but its usually at least acceptable) so I need to try and do something with it today to try and lift my mood a little.

Things I need to do are

Load the dishwasher (and put it on)
Washing, drying and ironing
Tidy the living room and hoover it
Tidy the kitchen (worktops, empty bin, floor etc)
Clean the bathroom (including emptying the bin, floor etc)

Need to get the DS's sorted before I start, but who will join me today??

You should have not told them about the landlords child! What a funny term for them to have thought of!

FAQ · 11/09/2008 11:20

I know - bit mad if you ask me - if we'd had no children together then I would have qualified for virtually all my "rent" to be paid.........but because I have my gorgeous 3 DS's (who happen to have the home owner as their father) I don't

Hi all, had a bad start to my morning, waiting on income support now for 7 weeks and had fully convinced myself it would be in this morning! but alas no!
Came home, put out washing, put in another load. Cleaned bathroom, tidied hall and washed both floors.
Now to do kitchen and sitting room!!!!

Peckarolloveragain · 11/09/2008 11:30

I have now restarted washing machine, emptied and loaded dishwasher, wiped benches in kitchen and set off roomba upstairs.

Next is make DD1+2 some lunch then put some clothes away I think

Divvy · 11/09/2008 11:32

Is it not worth you, for the long term, getting him to kick you out?

FAQ · 11/09/2008 12:33

Hell no - he 'aint kicking me out of here - I've made it clear to him that the only thing I want when we get divorce proceedings under way is this house.........

OP posts:
Divvy · 11/09/2008 12:38

Would that be rent free from then on then?

FAQ · 11/09/2008 12:43

no - we haven't even started divorce proceedings - now looks like we're going to wait the 2yrs for "standard" one rather than on of us apportioning blame on the other for "unreasonable behaviour", he knows the only thing I want is the house and has raised no objections - by the time that comes around I'll (hopefully) be working again so will be able to fully take over the mortgage , his credit rating will be better and he'll be able to get another mortgage on his own house

OP posts:
FAQ · 11/09/2008 12:45

oh and he also knows that despite the house being in his name, it is our marital home so he'd be getting himself into a place where he wouldn't want to be

OP posts:
FAQ · 11/09/2008 12:47

oh and the alternative is putting my name on the mortgage and deeds (if I can't afford the full mortgage that is) and then me buying him out later on.

OP posts:
Divvy · 11/09/2008 14:34

Make him pay a lump sum off before hand then!

FAQ · 11/09/2008 15:41

Divvy - not much chance of that happening! Blimey it's taking him a month to give me £130 towards the school uniforms

Right - I've done NOTHING all day, so I'm about to have a fag sit down now I'm back from toddlers and school pick-up then:

Get the dishwasher on
Tidy kitchen
Tidy bathroom (or at least start)
Cook dinner

OP posts:
Divvy · 11/09/2008 16:12

Think you should add toddler group to your to do list, cos at you have done something!

FAQ · 11/09/2008 16:23

good point Divvy

Can I add the hour I wasted earlier and the hour at the JobCentre too

Morning guys, glad to see you are still here
I did not join in yesterday as it was my birthday and dh was home, so I did not do any chores what so ever but instead relaxed and got taken out for a nice pub lunch

Anyway, all back to normal now.

On my list for today are

  • put dry washing away
  • do one load of washing and hang out
  • drop get well card at SIL's (nephew had his appendix out yesterday morning)
  • pack up ds's swimming kit for his lesson this afternoon
  • go into town for cheap wellies for the dc
  • wash up breakfast dishes adn give kitchen a wipe-over
  • prepare a macarone cheese dish which I can just sling into the oven after swimming tonight

Better get cracking, back later

tootiredtothink · 12/09/2008 11:43

Happy belated Birthday hippipotami.

I did not join in yesterday as i spent entire day in Hickory Dickory [shudder emoticon].

Then had to make dinner, take dd swimming and karate.

Then it was out for a night out with friends.

So today my things to do are

*recover from my hangover.
*eat copious amounts of crap to help me recover from said hangover.
*let ds destroy all work i have done in the house as i don't have the energy to play with him.

I too had better get cracking so it's off to the sofa for me!

Will definitely join you tomorrow (or do we have the weekend off???)

hippipotami · 12/09/2008 11:59

Thank you tootired

What is Hickory Dickory? Or is it best not to ask??

I have put away yesterdays laundry adn hung todays load away.
I have washed up the breakfast items.
I have made some phonecalls (ds's drama club and the vet)
Will now go adn drop off card.
No time to go into town, may go at the weekend.

pushchair · 12/09/2008 12:23
