I REALLY need some motivation!

First off, I have Christmas decorations etc sitting on my bedroom floor, which need putting away, preferably this side of Christmas.

Right, time to get off the PC and start!

First up: my darling boys have returned from a pop festival with half the mud from Scotland in their bags. So that's my first job!

FAQ · 02/09/2008 09:27

yes I'm up for it

Got a massive mountain of ironing to tackle today
Want to pop into town and try and get some coathangers (preferablly medium sized) for DS1's uniform so he can hang it in his new wardrobe (which has been up - but empty for about 8 weeks now )
Pop next door to the school to collect DS2's uniform
Put the ironed clothes AWAY (this is the but I'm really bad at)
Empty the dishwasher
Change my sheets
Load of washing
Shower
Sort all DS1's stuff out ready for school in the morning

But not in that order

FAQ · 02/09/2008 09:29

I'll start shortly - not long since got up lol

Just to warn you though - I often do my "major" stuff in the evenings once the DS's are in bed (although this may change once both DS1 and 2 are back/starting school).

So my updates during the day may be sporadic - but plentiful in the evenings

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 02/09/2008 09:32

ill join! have just got dd1 back to school and need to catch up on, well everything, think ill start with coffee washing in. then wash up breakfast pots then hoover living room. and there will be loads more after that.

claudiaschiffer · 02/09/2008 09:50

I've got grotty jobs to do too . ..

Heaps of ironing/sorting/drying

Cleaning out utility room cupboards

Sort kitchen larder/general store cupboard

Clean all the crap off the kitchen surfaces and dining table and . . . the hard bit . . . find somewhere for it to go.

I'm on a different time zone to you lot tho so may have to post when your all asleep

FAQ · 02/09/2008 10:02

OK - I have

Showered (still not dressed - but it's a start)
Emptied the dishwasher
Put a load of washing in
DS1 and 2 are in the process of getting dressed now

Next jobs are to get DS3's nappy changed and get him dressed and myself dressed.

Then I'll need to run the hoover round the floor where DS2 decided to "help" DS3 tip his coccopops all over the floor

Hi all. Glad you're up for this thread, I was starting to feel lonely!

FAQ - I'll probably be posting in the evening, so you won't be alone.

Right, am fed up of mud. Need to eat some breakfast and finish sorting out the wardrobe.

Oh, and shift a chest of drawers.

FAQ · 02/09/2008 10:56

I'm now showered, got my hair dried, we're all dressed - and am about to pop next door to the school to collect DS2's uniform that I'd ordered from them.

FAQ · 02/09/2008 11:38

ok - been to the school to pick up the uniform.

About to put DS3 down for his nap and tackle some of this ironing and get the other DS's some lunch

Janni · 02/09/2008 12:04

Sounds like you're on top of things FAQ

I have to take DD to a hospital appointment this afternoon so won't be back till later.

I AM going to be taking a bag of stuff to drop at the charity shop near the hospital, in the interests of ongoing decluttering!

FAQ · 02/09/2008 12:05

fantastic - I've now got DS3 settled other 2 are eating lunch - I suppose I'd better eat something too - and then tackle this enormous ironing pile

grouchyoscar · 02/09/2008 12:49

I've

Got DS ready and delivered to school
Taken down, soaked and am washing the shower curtains
Cleaned the shower rail
Cleaned the dishwasher, loaded, run and emptied it
Mopped the kitchen floor twice
Made a pot of blackberry jam
Cleaned the worksurfaces

I feel really flat and can't be bothered today. No motivation at all

FAQ · 02/09/2008 13:42

well done

well I got the ironing board out - and the doorbell went - DS2's godmother, a "family friend" (actually she was really scathing of me and my parenting just after H and I split up and I've had no contact with her since) turned up and I had to invted her and give her tea - she's only just gone

southeastastra · 02/09/2008 13:43

i need to varnish my knobs

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 02/09/2008 13:44

okay i got a bit distracted my headphones broke and i was trying to fix them and then trying to order more. then loads of phonecalls for dd1.

have done washing up and one load of washing

need to do

hoover
clean yard
clean kitchen floor
more washing.

FAQ · 02/09/2008 13:46

and now DS3 has woken up so the ironing will have to wait for later.

AND it's raining and fuckwit ExH "forgot" to take the raincover out of the car when he dropped the DS's off on Sunday so I have no raincover to keep DS3 dry when we go to town.

NumberFour · 02/09/2008 14:03

FAQ · 02/09/2008 14:28

ok rain seems to have stopped - and sun trying to come out - going to pop to town and pay a bill or two and buy some coat hangers

FAQ · 02/09/2008 17:10

right been to town and bought the coat hangers - didn't pay the bills as I forgot the slips

Going to cook dinner in a while, then need to hang some of the washing up around the house and make the DS's beds.

Janni - put the decorations up. I saw christmas cards on sale in Books etc at the weekend, so christmas must be closer than we think.

I am putting off cleaning the cooker. It is so filthy I need a flamethrower.

FAQ · 02/09/2008 17:59

I've got the burgers in the oven now (grill is crap ), tonight I want to tackle the ironing, and make sure that DS1 has his school uniform ready for the morning (first day at Junior school - YR3) and the rest of us have got clothes to wear so I'm not rushing round like an idiot first thing in the morning.

Oh need to put the recycling bin out too as it's collectd tommorrow.
